Who knows, maybe if Sanford does well enough, they will bring in Grady and Sanford Arms.

I'm not sure Brian, the fact that it's only once a week on the weekends may not be a good thing. Glad the show is already on DVD, not officially but bootleg-lol I wouldn't have a good feeling about 1 airing a week if it wasn't already out there

I'm just happy to have the chance to see some of the extended adventures of one of my favorite TV characters! Just one question ... does Fred still live in the same house, or did the setting change?

It's cool and everything, its just to bad I already have it all. This gives hope for the other two shows though.

Yes Fred lives in the same house without LAMONT and lives with a overweight White Guy instead. Rollo, Esther, and Grady makes ocassional appearances on the show.

Characters from Sanford and Son you won't see at all are

Bubba
Donna
Lamont
Melvin
Julio

There's one episode (a 2-parter I believe) where Fred and Esther find out they are married (they are just elated!) through a screwup on the marriage license (signing in the wrong places) and they have to drive to St. Louis to undo it.

I'm *very* excited! I haven't seen Sanford since it I was kid. I have fond memories of it.

Now, I've just seen the recordings of this from last night and this morning. I set the dvr for both in case they were edited differently. Aside from a full minute more cut from this morning (maybe a commercial/barter timing mistake?), there seems to be nothing cut out, really.

But, and here's where my typing goes weird to make a point--

Have.. you.. ever.. seen... such horrible time compression in your entire life? The thing speeds up and slows down so much, it's the video equivalent of a 45 rpm record set off center on a record player. Bad, bad, BAD!! Even for syndication re-runs BAD!

Last night's show was compressed from a full running time of 25:15 to 22:22 without commercials. But, at least last night's showing was uncut. Does that balance it all out?

Don't worry about it Irene, the entire series will be aired next week Saturday during the Marathon, 10am to 11pm

Yep. What's missing is Fred bringing the breakfast tray into the living room. He sits and arranges the coffee table-- "The bait. And, the contract!" he says. It's about a minute that's gone.

Wonder was that the same with THEA that aired right after Sanford at 3am

With the morning showing being edited (I'm glad I recorded the 2:30am airing) I just hope that on Saturday with the big marathon that the shows aren't edited then, too. If so, then maybe it will be better to wait and record the shows on the early morning rerun instead?

So what do you think will happen during the marathon? Also did you like the show?

Pavan

I think maybe it was a slight error by BET...or maybe they do plan on airing it unedited in the late nights. I didn't see a difference in Thea, though. I think the marathon will be OK, I hope.

I thought it was good...I really don't remember this...I remembered Thea, though. I liked Sanford, but I can't wait to see the three-part pilot!
