Jinny did feel guilty but obviously not enuf to quit drinking.
Other than the cap's daughter leaving,,, the best part of tonight's TD was both Mag and Jinny slamming that guy in the nose, lol.

On April 24, 2008, Dana and I are going to meet in LA and handcuff ourselves to Nancy McKeon and Jay Harrington, and you're not. Ahahaha!
Jay Harrington is all mine! I don't care what you guys say, cuz he's mine! Not yours! AHAHAHAHAAAA!
Teddy: Hey, I'm making you an offer you can't refuse.
Jinny: Look, you know who I am, OK? You know who my family is. Why the hell do you even wanna be with me at all?
Teddy: Because, I love you.
Jinny: What was she expecting? The welcome wagon?
Jinny: Basically, people are who people are. Your born, you die pretty much the same person. All the rest is just window dressing.
Check out my Nancy McKeon Supersite (http://www.angelfire.com/stars2/NancyMcKeon)!
Warm & Fuzzy 07-15-2001, 10:46 PM Jinny's going to get raped or something..I bet..LOL (but of course they will not show that part)LOL and I can't wait till next week.. BTW, did anyone else think that in this ep. CD had a like a sunburn or tan or something and Jinny had A LOT and I mean A LOT of eye shadow on... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Ok, now that I can breath again I'm ready to comment on the episode. I was sorta in shock after seeing the preview for next weeks ep, so it took me a while http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
LOVED IT!
I felt so bad for Magda. I don't blame her though, I would've kissed that guys boots too if I had a kid at home. Gabriel is right, she is incredibly strong. I'm glad she didn't keep it all bottled up inside though, and that she broke the dudes nose!
Jinny- WHAT WERE YOU THINKING. I almost chunked something at the TV set when she took that drink. I know she feels bad about it--she got lucky that time. It's obvious she's in extreme guilt since she told Magda she could try another partner is she liked...
Captain, I feel so sorry for you. One moment your child's getting married, one moment she's going to college, the next she's going to LA to be with a dishwasher. Oh boy! Maybe Cap will have an actual storyline soon...
C.D! C.D! C.D! LOL! She told that insurance man off. I loved when she said she gave everyone a fair chance except for insurance men. LOL! She was real cool in this episode.
Angela just likes everyone! She liked the insurance guy...until he pulled that stunt. She has such a googy-good attitude about EVERYTHING, but she can get mean when she needs to!
I liked the scene in the bar between the four of them. Angela/C.D. vs. Jinny/Magda. At least it didn't get too out of control, but once Magda left Jinny sure shot the other two some killer glances. Sad thing is I think they were sorta directed at herself, because, afterall, Jinny was the one who wasn't there to back up Magda.
Did anyone catch on to the look on C.D's face during the scene in the parking lot with Angela when she left her cell phone? She had asked Angela how much she would have to be paid to marry a man she didn't love, and then it became awkwardly silent...I wonder if C.D. married Paul, even though she didn't love him. ...Just a thought!
Well, I'm gonna shut up now and go watch it again! I can't wait for next weeks episode, it looks so cool. Jinny is heading towards rock bottom and is gonna hit it HARD it seems. Wonder how Cap will react to this...?
Back to my hole!

lesliem14 07-15-2001, 11:16 PM Other than Lisa Vidal's performance, nothing outstanding, but definitely not dismal. The five actresses are really carrying this material. I didn't particullary care for the diamond story, but it wasn't the performances. Can I say again how awesome LV's portrayal was tonight?!
Next week looks very good, if it's done right. In case I'm working my usual time next Sunday, I need to clock out of work by 8:54 so I get home in time, but still get paid for 8 hours!
Michele35 07-15-2001, 11:35 PM Jo's the bomb,,, I noticed something different about CD's face....i thought she seemed to have more freckles.
I agree that the diamond story was a little weak...it was obvious who the 'murderer' was from the beginning. The insurance witness was a bit of a twist,, though.
I felt a little bad for Angela...she seemed genuinely concerned about Mag at the bar only to have Jinny and Magda get all defensive on her. Can't say that I blame Mag after her experience,,,and Jinny must've been feeling guilt and angzt over the situation. The scene with C.D. and Mag in the restroom just struck me as odd...guess cuz we never see just the two of them in a scene,,, it is always CD/Angela or Mag/Jinny.
As bad as I felt for Mag,,,she should NOT have gone outside by herself. I am surprised Mag didn't smell the alcohol on Jinny's breath,,,of course she was prolly in shock.
KS,,i noticed the cell phone thing too...it seemed weird that CD would forget her phone and then the subject was totally dropped. What was the purpose of even mentioning it?? I thought maybe I missed something.
I don't feel bad that the Cap's daughter left,, but it just seemed so weak to have her leave with the dishwasher....can't get over that yet.

sue z q 07-15-2001, 11:56 PM What an ep! OMG! OMG! OMG! The Preview!
C.D.- She was hilarious tonight! I loved all her comments about the insurance people and I loved that one line she said about her being jaded. She cracks me up! I also caught that pause when Angela asked her her price. Maybe there is something like that between Paul and her....
Angela- I felt bad for her in that bar scene when she was just trying to be sympathetic, and Mag. snapped at her. I understand where Mag was at, but still...I liked it when Ang slapped the table and was like, "It's over!" You go, Lela!
Cap/Amanda- Thank God she's gone! Whahooooo!
Cap. did her best to show her how stupid she sounds, running off with a dishwasher. (I loved the way she put it, lol)
Jinny: I was soooooo mad, when she went back to the counter for more drinks. I thought towards the end there that she was gonna tell Mag. what she'd done, at the part when Mag. was like, "You were in the bathroom, right?" I was like, "Tell her, Jinny! The truth will set you free!" (lol, I just watched Conspiracy Theory) No, Teddy, but he wouldn't have really fit in this ep, guess they did break up after all.
Magda: You go Lisa! Incredible performance! Even if I didn't have a son I would have dropped to my knees and kissed his feet without thinking twice, heck I would have done anything he wanted! (well, almost anything....lol) She and Gabriel are really good together. I liked it when she broke down and told him how scared she was. Very touching.
Enough rambling, oh wait, more rambling coming.... The preview! AHHHHH!!!!!! I'm gonna watch Lifetime 24/7 to see that preview again! I hope they don't show too much of what happens to Jinny (if it's a rape and all), don't think I could take that. And towards the end, I couldn't see it very well, but it looked like they were taking her pulse or something, were they? Did you guys see that?
Well, NEway, can't wait to see your comments...buh, bye!

Jo: Partners? You mean 50-50? Uh, 50-50-50-50-50?
Blair: Good, Jo, we'll let you do the books!
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
And from your two resident off-topic queens, Danielle and I, who are still looking for that 12 step program by the way:
*^*^*~~~God Bless~~~*^*^*

Lorelai: Well, I want to be in the Bangles, but that doesn't mean I quit my job and get a guitar and ruin my life to be a Bangle, does it?
Max: The Bangles broke up.
Lorelai: Yeah, that's not the point.
Max: Well, that's got to be part of the point if there's no band any more.

coily2 07-16-2001, 10:10 PM Word, leslie. This writing is pretty trite.
Lisa Vidal has continued to amaze me time after time with her acting. I realize that this is not the popular opinion of this board, but she really is the strongest actress on the show. Sorry, just call them as I see them.
Hey, Capt. Jr? Don't let the door hit you on your way out. See ladies, Capt. Jr. was suffering from what I like to call "always-gotta-have-a-man-or-else-I-won't-find-my-identity" syndrome. It is sad. Very, very sad. And since the writers are not responsible, I will clarify what they spoke of. I don't know a single Travel Agent with a master's degree. Period. I don't know why they were making it sound like she thought she had too. I am all for higher education (believe me, nothing is more important to me), but I hate it when facts are blatantly misrepresented.
Capt. America, I blame you for this crap too. Stop coddling your daughter. She keeps making her bed, let her lie in it.
C.D., have you put on some weight? And your wardrobe needs a little bit of a boost. Those knee length jackets are not very flattering to her height.
Have nothing to say about Jinny. I was unmoved.
Magda? You go girl.
Wisupastar 07-18-2001, 02:37 PM coily2, i gotta agree with you. lisa's acting was incredible!

Nancy McKeon is my idol!! 07-18-2001, 02:46 PM Everytime I watch the preview, I hold my hand over my mouth to keep me from screaming OMG! Then I just sit they hyperventalating!
