View Full Version : DeCode The Picture For CONTROL
ClassicTVGal 02-15-2008, 01:13 AM This idea came from The Dick Van Dyke Show board and I just started it at The Mary Tyler Moore Show board. And I just had to try it here!
Post a picture of something related to the show (or movie in our case) and see if anyone can guess what episode you're thinking of...
I'll begin:
http://www.usd.edu/smm/Drums/BassDrums/4575/4575KilbournbassdrumportraitLG.jpg
Mikado 02-15-2008, 01:37 AM That's the drum 99 was hiding behind when undercover as a ballerina.....I believe the ep was called, our man in Leotards
Mikado 02-15-2008, 01:38 AM I couldnt find a colour pic, but, as I recall it, her dress was a kind of pukey green
Carrie 02-15-2008, 10:18 AM Here's a color pic. :)
http://www.tdvdsonline.net/gallery/albums/getsmart/10/normal_ourmaninleotards1.jpg
Mikado 02-15-2008, 03:05 PM like i said, pukey Green
Mikado 02-15-2008, 03:08 PM What episode does this pic represent?
ClassicTVGal 02-15-2008, 11:02 PM That's not a puke green! lol.. more like lime green
Okay, I have to ask.. (I probably shouldn't) But I can't tell what those little red things are. I have an ep in my head, but it doesn't really fit.
I'll wait.. and let someone else answer.
Mikado 02-16-2008, 12:50 AM Well, they should actually be white, i gave them a slight pink colour to make them easier to see.......and cause I thought it might be a bit of a hint as to what they are...my bad :p
Carrie 02-16-2008, 11:35 AM Is that from when Max cut off Dr. Yes's poison-tipped fingernails in "Dr. Yes?"
Mikado 02-16-2008, 08:22 PM DING DING DING , You got it Carrie! :clap :clap :clap :)
ClassicTVGal 02-16-2008, 08:29 PM Would you believe that was the episode I had in mind?
Mikado 02-16-2008, 08:50 PM yeah i would....I guess i should have made the nails white, as I originally planned, but, i thought that would make them harder to recognise
ClassicTVGal 02-16-2008, 09:11 PM Oh nah, it's okay.
So, I guess Carrie can go if she has something in mind.
Carrie 02-18-2008, 11:07 AM How about this one?
Mikado 02-18-2008, 07:59 PM Snoopy Smart vs the Red Baron (second ep of S4 )
Carrie 02-19-2008, 03:39 PM Correct!
Mikado 02-22-2008, 11:13 PM Ok. what ep is this from? :)
ClassicTVGal 02-23-2008, 12:08 AM I want to say: The Groovy Guru from Season 3.
GG: Shoot the chick.
Max: With what?
GG: What do you mean 'with what?' With the gun in your hand.
Max: This isn't a gun. This is my nephew's rubber duck!
BTW, do you draw, Mikado? lol ;)
Mikado 02-23-2008, 12:24 AM Thats a good answer...but , not the ep I was thinking of ......Yeah, I draw; I'm a fair amateur cartoonist  I call this drawing "Windy" VVV
ClassicTVGal 02-23-2008, 12:34 AM How about Ship of Spies? That was my 2nd thought.
Mikado 02-23-2008, 12:48 AM Sorry, no...this is an actual prop from the episode
ClassicTVGal 02-23-2008, 01:16 AM Ooooh yeah! The one about the swimming.. um...
The Last One In Is A Rotten Spy, right?
Mikado 02-23-2008, 01:29 AM DING DING DING DING!!!! Max was watching over a swim team, but, since Max couldnt swim he had a safety ring...........with a gun in it :)
I think it may have been polka dotted though

images, lol]
Carrie 02-23-2008, 09:59 AM "Diplomat's Daughter?"
Mikado 02-23-2008, 07:35 PM "Diplomat's Daughter?"
I cant think of the name of the ep....but, is that the ep where 99 has a tiny gun that Max tells the KAOS agent has " a one calibre poisoned pin" in it?
(Cause thats what the pics made me think of)
ClassicTVGal 02-23-2008, 10:37 PM Yes, Carrie it's Diplomat's Daughter. (And yes to you too, Mikado) :)
Mikado 02-24-2008, 12:09 AM Yay Carrie! :) :clap
Mikado 02-24-2008, 12:17 AM How about this?
Carrie 02-24-2008, 10:30 AM "The Day They Raided the Knights" :)
How about this one?
Mikado 02-24-2008, 05:34 PM "The Day They Raided the Knights" :)
DING DING DING DING!!! :clap :clap
How about this one?
The Mummy, KAOS is sending agents over from Europe in mummy cases
Mikado 02-24-2008, 05:39 PM :)
Mikado 02-24-2008, 05:50 PM i have a suggestion about the name of this game....ClassicTVGal , this is up to you, of course, since you created the game but, I was thinking maybe it would be fun to rename it "The Control Picture Code" which would give it a kind of a catchy "SPY" name ; anyway, just a thought....it's up to you :)
ClassicTVGal 02-24-2008, 07:57 PM Shipment To Beirut
ClassicTVGal 02-24-2008, 08:05 PM i have a suggestion about the name of this game....ClassicTVGal , this is up to you, of course, since you created the game but, I was thinking maybe it would be fun to rename it "The Control Picture Code" which would give it a kind of a catchy "SPY" name ; anyway, just a thought....it's up to you :)
Well thank you (very much) for the thought, Mikado. I really couldn't come up with what to call it. (besides having CONTROL or something in the title)
I'll think it over, that okay with you?
Mikado 02-24-2008, 08:40 PM Shipment To Beirut
DING DING DING DING!!!!! :clap :clap :clap :)
Well thank you (very much) for the thought, Mikado. I really couldn't come up with what to call it. (besides having CONTROL or something in the title)
I'll think it over, that okay with you?
Sure, as I said, its your game, so, it's up to you ^_^
ClassicTVGal 02-24-2008, 09:01 PM http://www.ballycastle.free-online.co.uk/places/rede/REDE3_320.jpg
Mikado 02-24-2008, 09:20 PM Island of the Darned.......Max & 99 try to escape from Hans Hunter, who craves human prey...in one scene, they find themselves on a rickety bridge over a deep canyon
ClassicTVGal 02-24-2008, 11:50 PM Correct!
Mikado 02-25-2008, 09:33 PM But, i couldnt resist the chance to try and draw this :D
Carrie 02-27-2008, 10:08 AM That looks like the "electric toaster" from "The Day They Raided the Knights." Very good drawing!
How about this one?
Mikado 02-27-2008, 05:50 PM That looks like the "electric toaster" from "The Day They Raided the Knights." Very good drawing!
How about this one?
actually, that isnt the "stereophonic pistol" from "The Day They Raided the Knights."......try again :)
Thats a reference to Dorian Gray.....ep 123 Age before duty (And I had to look that one up cause i've never seen season 5  )
Carrie 02-29-2008, 09:46 AM actually, that isnt the "stereophonic pistol" from "The Day They Raided the Knights."......try again :)
Aw heck, lol! I'll have to think about that one. :)
Mikado 02-29-2008, 09:47 PM Aw heck, lol! I'll have to think about that one. :)
I'll give you a hint......if you look closely, youll see a THIRD gun barrel FACING you! ;) (Got it now?)
Mikado 03-03-2008, 09:49 PM Ok, this should help...to the right is an overhead view of the gun and you can see it shoot 3 times in one shot
Carrie 03-04-2008, 05:20 PM I remember the gun, but I can't for the life of me remember the episode it came from, lol.
Mikado 03-04-2008, 06:11 PM ok last hint- SPECIAL GUEST STAR DON RICKLES
ClassicTVGal 03-04-2008, 11:20 PM BIG hint! lol...
The Little Black Book?
Mikado 03-04-2008, 11:42 PM DING DING DING DING.....It's a drawing i did of Max's "3-way gun"...he used it to kill 3 KAOS agents that had him and Sidney surrounded on 3 sides.....but, he didnt keep it , he put it down on their bodies saying "We'd better make it look like suicide!"
ClassicTVGal 03-05-2008, 12:14 AM haha --Well I've never seen the episode, never really wanted to. I have seen pieces of it. I don't care much for the ending.

GOOD LUCK!
Mikado 03-05-2008, 12:38 AM hmm thats making me think of at least 2 seperate eps, rather than one...Carrie, what do you think?
Carrie 03-05-2008, 09:54 AM It makes me think of either "Classification: Dead" or "Where-What-How-Who Am I?"
Mikado 03-05-2008, 03:08 PM yeah.....I was thinking "Where-What-How-Who Am I?" too, but, the cemetary had me thinking, that cant be right??????? The other one I thought of was "The only way to die".........
So, since we both thought of "Where-What-How-Who Am I?" , I'll guess that; and if its right, I'll share the win with you, Carrie :D
ClassicTVGal 03-05-2008, 04:30 PM Actually I have to deeply apologise (I shouldn't have done it to begin with, lol) But it's actually from the movie.
Larrabee comes in with the posion pills and Max tells 99 that it's a good thing that they don't use the KAOS pharmacy...
Caution: Do not drive if drowsiness or death occurs.
Forgive me?
Maybe we could do scenes from the movie or sometihng (or the other too, but I've never seen the "bomb" one, but it doesn't matter)
Okay... here's one that's easier and from the show!
http://www.drogerscollection.com/the-backroom/coyle/images/baby-buggy.jpg http://www.chocolateart.com/images/Baby-Jpegs/B2LgBabyBottle.jpg
Mikado 03-05-2008, 04:38 PM yeah, youre forgiven
ClassicTVGal 03-05-2008, 04:43 PM :D okay (lol)
Mikado 03-05-2008, 05:44 PM I have to think about this one....so, i'll give Carrie first crack ;)
(Ladies first?)
Carrie 03-06-2008, 11:42 AM Thanks! :)
I think that one is from "Ironhand" when Max and 99 go into the baby store to get the first part of the AAAMM plans. They run into some KAOS agents and Max throws a bottle of formula in their faces. Operation Baby Buggy Switch! :D
Mikado 03-06-2008, 02:41 PM ah that would explain it, I had a feeling it might be an S5 show (Which means I've never seen it )...well, now we have to wait for CTVG
ClassicTVGal 03-06-2008, 10:08 PM Yes, that is correct, Carrie.
Mikado, I know you've never seen S5 (or in sometime) sorry. It's just the first thing I thought of. I'll try and think of something you both can guess at the next go 'round.
Mikado 03-06-2008, 10:32 PM Yes, that is correct, Carrie.
Mikado, I know you've never seen S5 (or in sometime) sorry. It's just the first thing I thought of. I'll try and think of something you both can guess at the next go 'round.
Thats ok, if you want to mix in the odd S5 ep, i havent a prob with it...just makes it a bigger challenge ;)
ClassicTVGal 03-06-2008, 10:38 PM OKay... You're nice to say so. :)
Mikado 03-06-2008, 10:49 PM This gadget was used in 3 shows, name one of them and , for an extra point, what was the device CALLED?
Mikado 03-08-2008, 06:08 PM hmm how do i give clues without giving it away???...Ok, its seen at the very beginning of one episode
Carrie 03-13-2008, 10:31 AM That's a tough one. I'll have to think about it. Nice drawing Mikado!
Mikado 03-13-2008, 12:55 PM Call me Mikey, like everyone else does :)
ClassicTVGal 03-13-2008, 02:38 PM Call me Mikey, like everyone else does :)
I don't. lol
But I'll remember that.
Carrie 03-13-2008, 03:47 PM Call me Mikey, like everyone else does :)
Ok, will do. :)
Mikado 03-14-2008, 12:56 AM need another hint??
Carrie 03-14-2008, 08:52 AM Yup, lol. Thanks! :D
Mikado 03-14-2008, 04:04 PM hmmm...well, as I said, this item was shown in 3 shows, however, I may have gotten confused ....it was in 2 shows for SURE, but, one of them has more than one part....and the name of the item has the initials "SS"
Carrie 03-14-2008, 04:22 PM Argh! I can't figure this one out. I know I'm going to kick myself, lol. Let me think a little more about it, unless someone else knows what it is. ;)
Mikado 03-14-2008, 04:48 PM kks
Mikado 03-22-2008, 07:44 PM ok ill give you this.....The device was used at the beginning of "A man called Smart", but was unamed (The show with more than one part)...it was also used and named in a 3rd season ep where the Chief and 99 are disguised as statues.
ClassicTVGal 03-22-2008, 11:12 PM ok ill give you this.....The device was used at the beginning of "A man called Smart", but was unamed (The show with more than one part)...it was also used and named in a 3rd season ep where the Chief and 99 are disguised as statues.
Yeah good 3-part ep. But I don't remember it in that, when you first posted this, I thought it was probably in the ep where his briefcase is an umberella, (and I just saw this morning) a rope.
And the other you are referring to is: The Reluctant Redhead.
Mikado 03-22-2008, 11:42 PM Right :clap :clap
it was called Super Satchel , btw :)
Carrie 03-23-2008, 02:49 PM Good job Erin!
ClassicTVGal 03-23-2008, 09:33 PM Thank you Carrie.
Oh wow, I didn't think I was actually answering the question! lol
Okay.. my turn I suppose:

ClassicTVGal 03-24-2008, 06:26 PM To Sire With Love - one of my favorite episodes :)
:D Correct! <and one I seem to be watching often here recently, lol, esp part 2>
Carrie 03-25-2008, 12:00 PM How about this one?
ClassicTVGal 03-26-2008, 12:00 PM How about this one?
Hmm..
I've decided to let Mikado have this one before I give my guesses, because I'm really not sure.
Mikado 05-13-2008, 01:09 AM A baseball ep???? No idea @_@~~~?????
ClassicTVGal 05-19-2008, 12:11 AM A baseball ep???? No idea @_@~~~?????
LOL -- Yes.
The only thing that comes to mind is, The Mess Of Adrian Listenger which I know isn't right. I haven't a clue.
Mikado 05-19-2008, 01:07 AM LOL -- Yes.
The only thing that comes to mind is, The Mess Of Adrian Listenger which I know isn't right. I haven't a clue.
makes 2 of us
Mikado 07-14-2008, 01:07 AM And it seems to remain a mystery, 2 months later! 0.o
ClassicTVGal 07-14-2008, 01:23 AM And it seems to remain a mystery, 2 months later! 0.o
*Laughs*
Yeah.... I think we should skip it for now. Carrie hasn't been on for months, I know she's been real busy, I'd say, she's expecting a new baby.
Mikado 07-14-2008, 04:28 AM Aww, how nice! Hope its all going well for her!
ok....how about this? VVVV
ClassicTVGal 07-16-2008, 11:45 PM Aww, how nice! Hope its all going well for her!
ok....how about this? VVVV
Oh brother...
Hmm...
I'll have to think. REAL hard! *laughs*
Mikado 07-17-2008, 03:46 AM Are you really stumped on this one, or, are you just pulling my chain? (I figured it would be pretty EZ)
caladon 07-23-2008, 12:19 AM Aww, how nice! Hope its all going well for her!
ok....how about this? VVVV
I'm going to guess "Greer Window."
Mikado 07-25-2008, 04:05 PM The window represents the window Max was looking out of at Greer Heavy insustries, the "rear view" represents that Max got shot in the butt, and the mini cannon is what shot Max in the butt a SECOND time, at the end of the ep! :)
caladon 07-25-2008, 08:02 PM Thank you.
Ok, which episode does this picture suggest?
Mikado 07-25-2008, 11:26 PM hmmm.......Pussycats Galore?
caladon 07-26-2008, 01:05 AM hmmm.......Pussycats Galore?
Right on the money. Good job, Mikado.
Mikado 08-06-2008, 03:43 PM thx...it WAS a guess though
ClassicTVGal 09-22-2010, 11:25 PM Would anyone like to pick this thread up again?
I'd like to keep the ball rolling.
This pic represents one of my favourite episodes.
ClassicTVGal 09-25-2010, 07:32 PM Ship of Spies
Yes, this is a wonderful 2-part episode. :)
ClassicTVGal 09-26-2010, 02:11 PM http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_raBgBle6Dic/So1peMJfRxI/AAAAAAAACAY/lW7W1oWEbqQ/s320/jellycat_medium_bashful_bunny1239359661_472.jpg

caladon 09-26-2010, 05:34 PM I'll guess: Our Man In Toyland.
ClassicTVGal 09-26-2010, 10:28 PM I'll guess: Our Man In Toyland.
That is correct! ;)
Your turn.
I'll guess: Our Man In Toyland.
Well done. I wouldn't have got that one without hints.
And the clues are so clever when you know the answer.
A clue for this one. It's from the 4th season.
caladon 09-28-2010, 08:36 AM I'd say the Impossible Mission.
How about this one.
Impossible Mission is the answer.
Is your clue "When Good Fellows Get Together"?
caladon 09-29-2010, 02:29 PM Correct. Well done.
Another favourite of mine.
ClassicTVGal 09-30-2010, 08:19 PM Is it, The Greatest Spy On Earth from Season 2?
Absolutely correct. Over to you.

caladon 10-01-2010, 12:21 PM I'll guess:
Appointment in Sahara
ClassicTVGal 10-01-2010, 11:02 PM That is correct. ;)
You're up!
caladon 10-02-2010, 10:35 AM next
Could it be "The Reluctant Redhead" where Cesar Romero guest stars and the Chief and 99 disguise themselves as statues?
That's what I thought, but the "joker" thing confused me a bit, lol.
caladon 10-03-2010, 10:39 AM Bingo. You got it.
Your turn.
Yet another favourite of mine.
ClassicTVGal 10-04-2010, 04:06 PM Oh, I got it, Spy, Spy Birdie.
And the bottle is to be: Nitrowhisperin, lol.
Oh, I got it, Spy, Spy Birdie.

Didn't want it too easy. :)
Correct answer.

Is it "99 Loses Control"?
ClassicTVGal 10-07-2010, 05:07 PM Is it "99 Loses Control"?
Correct! ;)
Your Turn. *smiles*
This one's from season 1.
ClassicTVGal 10-08-2010, 06:54 PM :)
That's from All in the Mind.
One of the worst to film. - according to Barbara Feldon, and probably Don, as well.
Here's another "not so fun" to film episode, according to Ms. Feldon:

:)
That's from All in the Mind.
One of the worst to film. - according to Barbara Feldon, and probably Don, as well.
Correct guess.
I always thought Don Adams had the best of that flooding telephone deal. :)
Would this one be "Supersonic Boom"?
ClassicTVGal 10-09-2010, 04:02 PM Correct guess.
I always thought Don Adams had the best of that flooding telephone deal. :)
Would this one be "Supersonic Boom"?
That would be correct! ;)
Your Turn!
And then there was one in, "Dr. Yes" from Season 3. And apparently Don didn't know how to swim.
This one might be a little obscure. Feel free to ask for hints. :)
ClassicTVGal 10-10-2010, 09:37 PM Hmm... *thinking*
caladon 10-10-2010, 10:17 PM Run Robot Run.
The Avengers parody couple of Sneed and Neal and the statue represents both the olympic style competition and also the discuss throw even when Hymie threw the discus like a frizbee and tossed it out the the stadium; where it was picked up out of the trash by "Aunt Rose."
Run Robot Run.
The Avengers parody couple of Sneed and Neal and the statue represents both the olympic style competition and also the discuss throw even when Hymie through the discus like a frizbee and tossed it out the the stadium; where it was picked up out of the trash by "Aunt Rose."
Wow. Could you be any correcter. :)
Over to you.
ClassicTVGal 10-11-2010, 10:31 PM Run Robot Run.
The Avengers parody couple of Sneed and Neal and the statue represents both the olympic style competition and also the discuss throw even when Hymie threw the discus like a frizbee and tossed it out the the stadium; where it was picked up out of the trash by "Aunt Rose."
ooooo yeah :)
caladon 10-12-2010, 08:41 PM Thanks. Here's another.
This is a tough one. My first thought was "Maxwell Smart, Alias Jimmy Ballantine" because of what looks like a safe door and what might be construed as "colourful" language coming from the Chief at the end of the episode.
ClassicTVGal 10-13-2010, 12:29 PM Yes, me too. I never answered last night. I was thinking it over for a long time.
That was an episode I was thinking, then maybe KAOS In CONTROL, then a couple from Season 5 or even one from Season 3. And none of them seemed to fit. But I guess maybe we will find out soon!
caladon 10-13-2010, 02:33 PM Here's a hint:
"The pen is mightier than the sword."
ClassicTVGal 10-13-2010, 11:43 PM Hmm... well Max says that in, "Our Man In Leotards" and the TV-Movie, "Get Smart, Again".
Now, I'm sure he says it in another episode, but unfort. it's escaped me.
Another thought was it's a submarine door so I'd guess "Rub-a-Dub-Dub... Three Spies in a Sub" but I'm not sure how the second pic fits in. Hmmm.
caladon 10-14-2010, 10:04 AM Here's another hint:
A $2.00 solution.
Was I on the right track with the submarine?
caladon 10-16-2010, 12:21 PM No; it doesn't involve a submarine.
Here's another hint:
Howie Hughes.
ClassicTVGal 10-16-2010, 09:51 PM Here's another hint:
Howie Hughes.
Oh wait! I think I know this one!!
Um... Do I Hear Vaults? from Season 5?
caladon 10-17-2010, 06:53 PM Congratulations, you're absolutely correct.
Your turn.
ClassicTVGal 10-18-2010, 12:42 AM Congratulations, you're absolutely correct.
(Thanks)

That was a good one caladon. I would have needed a few more hints I think. Well done ClassicTVGal.
Is yours "Moonlighting Becomes You"? where The Chief sends 99 to work undercover on Hannibal Day's radio show and Max is the sound effects man?
ClassicTVGal 10-18-2010, 11:11 AM That was a good one caladon. I would have needed a few more hints I think. Well done ClassicTVGal.
Is yours "Moonlighting Becomes You"? where The Chief sends 99 to work undercover on Hannibal Day's radio show and Max is the sound effects man?
Thank you. :)
You are 100% correct! ;)
Over to you....
This one features a favourite character of mine.
caladon 10-19-2010, 04:31 PM "It Takes One To Know One."
The washing machine - The parts that were supposedly the dis-assembled Hymie, that Max gave to the Chief were actually those of an old-time washing machine.
The female robot - Octavia; played by Gayle Hunnicutt.
I've goofed and accidentally given clues to two episodes. You were quite correct about "It Takes One To Know One." but I thought Octavia was associated with the first picture clue because of the name of the episode. I'll have to be more careful next time.
The episode I'm after is to do with the washing machine.
caladon 10-20-2010, 10:51 AM Going by just the washing machine; I'd guess "Anatomy of a Lover."
Going by just the washing machine; I'd guess "Anatomy of a Lover."
...and you'd be absolutely correct.
Sorry about the mix up gang.
Over to you sir.
caladon 10-21-2010, 05:09 PM Here ya go.
I'm thinking it's "The Dead Spy Scrawls" because there's a KAOS agent named The Shark and a CONTROL agent writes a coded message in some wet cement.
caladon 10-22-2010, 10:29 AM I'm thinking it's "The Dead Spy Scrawls" because there's a KAOS agent named The Shark and a CONTROL agent writes a coded message in some wet cement.
BINGO! Right on both counts. Well done.
Your turn.
Another favourite episode of mine.
caladon 10-23-2010, 07:17 PM I'll guess "Aboard The Orient Express."
The Orient Express
The seeing eye dog; alias Krochanska, who belonged to Ernst the agent.
I'll guess "Aboard The Orient Express."
The Orient Express
The seeing eye dog; alias Krochanska, who belonged to Ernst the agent.
You're right. Good one.
All yours.
caladon 10-25-2010, 03:13 AM Thanks.
Here's one:
Hmmm. Looks like something that belongs in the little shop of horrors. I'll have to think hard on this one.
ClassicTVGal 10-25-2010, 06:58 PM What's It All About Algie? from Season 5
ClassicTVGal 10-25-2010, 06:59 PM Hmmm. Looks like something that belongs in the little shop of horrors. I'll have to think hard on this one.
LOL.. yes, it does.
Actually the theatre I work for actually did that play last year, but I missed seeing it, unfort.
caladon 10-26-2010, 10:09 AM What's It All About Algie? from Season 5
You got it. Well done.
Your turn.
ClassicTVGal 10-27-2010, 12:10 AM Thanks :)

http://www.vintagesurfboard.net/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/used-dewey-weber-surfboards.jpg
caladon 10-28-2010, 01:17 AM I'm going to guess:
"The Day They Raided Knights"
A conveyor belt:
The conveyor belt was used at the Knight Stamp Redemption center to send merchandise (primarily the stereophonc gun) from the back room to the front of the store.
The surfboard:
99 was tied to a surfboard; and when she had the chance, she lowered herself (surfboard included) onto the conveyor belt, turned it on with her foot and was able to let Max (who was in the store) know what had been going on.
ClassicTVGal 10-28-2010, 05:45 PM I'm going to guess:
"The Day They Raided Knights"
A conveyor belt:
The conveyor belt was used at the Knight Stamp Redemption center to send merchandise (primarily the stereophonc gun) from the back room to the front of the store.
The surfboard:
99 was tied to a surfboard; and when she had the chance, she lowered herself (surfboard included) onto the conveyor belt, turned it on with her foot and was able to let Max (who was in the store) know what had been going on.
Absolutely 100% correct! ;)
You're next! :)
caladon 10-28-2010, 09:37 PM Thanks. Here's another.
Ok. I'm leaning towards "The Decoy" because the duck looks like a wood one and the man at the newspaper stand gasses Max with a horoscope book.
caladon 10-29-2010, 10:19 AM Congratulations, that's the one.
Back to you.
caladon 10-30-2010, 11:54 AM I'll guess: "The Apes Of Wrath"
The heart:
Because agent Armstrong (actually an ape) had fallen in love with 99.
The banana:
The banana was the reward he received each time he killed his target.
On a side note, at the beginning of this episode you can see a very famous television prop. As Max is talking to the agent on the pier, you can see a life preserver hanging on a wall; if you look close you can barely but clearly see the words "S.S. Minnow" on it. Since the show had moved to CBS that season, I'm guessing it was laying around the prop room and someone gave it a light whitewash so it wouldn't look so obvious.
Correct. Well done.
The way the life preserver is positioned, above the steamer trunk in plain sight, makes me wonder if it wasn't a deliberate little nod to CBS.
caladon 11-01-2010, 01:58 AM Thanks.
Here's a new one.
Would I be on the right track with "Weekend Vampire"? Dr. Drago used a coffin as an entrance to his laboratory and poison ice pellets fired from a double barrelled flute.
caladon 11-02-2010, 02:05 PM Not only on the right track, but you've just won the race.
"Weekend Vampire" is the right episode.
Your turn.
Not only on the right track, but you've just won the race.
"Weekend Vampire" is the right episode.
Great episode. I love the detecto-tune sequence when they some how get on to "Heart of My Heart" and the Chief gets a little carried away. But what caps it off is Max putting the Chief's name down for the lead in the spy frolics.
How about this one?
caladon 11-03-2010, 11:44 PM I'll guess: "Smart the Assassin"
The clock:
The pill given to Max would ware off at 12 midnight.
The chess pieces: The next time Max and the Chief play chess at their club and the Chief says "checkmate" it would trigger Max's post hypnotic suggestion to draw his gun and shoot him.
Spot on the money. Well done.
Over to you.
caladon 11-05-2010, 02:56 AM Thanks. Here's the next one.
This one's a toughie. For me anyway. :)
I'm going to need a hint, for sure.
caladon 11-06-2010, 01:23 PM Okey dokey. Here's a hint
caladon 11-07-2010, 06:38 PM I've just changed the first picture; I think it's a better choice.
I know there's a reference to the “The Little Red Tractor that Huffed and Puffed.” in "Strike While The Agent Is Hot" but I can't work in the little old lady or Lost in Space's "Jupiter 2". (Nice model by the way)
caladon 11-08-2010, 11:14 AM You're absolutely correct, the episode is "Strike While The Agent Is Hot." The second clue refers to the other book mentioned in the episode, "The Little Old Lady Who Lived In A Spaceship."
ClassicTVGal 11-08-2010, 10:20 PM You're absolutely correct, the episode is "Strike While The Agent Is Hot." The second clue refers to the other book mentioned in the episode, "The Little Old Lady Who Lived In A Spaceship."
Oh wow! Yeah!!
I never would have guessed, lol.
I may have to start thinking of doing clues like that, haha.
Oh yeah. I should have remembered that.
This one's a favourite episode.
caladon 11-10-2010, 11:34 AM Stakeout on Blue Mist Mountain
The mushroom cloud:
For the atomic bomb KAOS had built and was going to set off and the blast that almost happened
The tie:
Max’s tie got caught in the bomb’s mechanism and stopped the atomic bomb from exploding.
Well done, caladon. I thought there might have been a clue or 2 needed on that one.
Over to you.
caladon 11-11-2010, 04:39 PM Thanks, sometimes I get lucky.
Here's the next one.
Would it be the episode "The Only Way To Die" where the Chief has Max feign his own death in order to help catch the Blaster?
caladon 11-13-2010, 09:41 AM Bingo. Well done, ph1l, you're exactly right.
Your turn.
That's a great episode as well.
Here's another.
caladon 11-16-2010, 08:57 AM I'd guess:
"Hoo Done It."
The white suit:
Harry Hoo always wore a white suit.
The Island:
The episode takes place on an island.
Amazing.:)
Well done. I'm surprised Harry Hoo wasn't in a few more episodes.
Over to you.
caladon 11-19-2010, 01:52 AM So was I; Hoo was cool.
Here's the next one.
Hmm. A quill pen. I need a clue on this one, caladon.
caladon 11-21-2010, 07:46 PM Okey dokey.
ClassicTVGal 11-21-2010, 09:36 PM Sorry I haven't been on for a while. I've been having search engine problems yet again.
Oh, I know from the quill pen! It's Dear Diary from Season One! :D
caladon 11-22-2010, 04:25 PM Sorry I haven't been on for a while. I've been having search engine problems yet again.
Oh, I know from the quill pen! It's Dear Diary from Season One! :D
Congratulations; you're absolutely correct.
Your turn.
ClassicTVGal 11-22-2010, 07:15 PM Congratulations; you're absolutely correct.
Your turn.
Thank You. :)
caladon 11-22-2010, 09:59 PM I'm going to guess:
"How Green Was My Valet"
The thermos:
For where Max and 99 find the rocket fuel
The Rocket:
For the rocket fuel.
ClassicTVGal 11-23-2010, 10:14 AM Correct. :)
Over to you...
caladon 11-24-2010, 08:00 PM Here's a new one:
ClassicTVGal 11-24-2010, 08:13 PM Uhhhh... I think I'm gonna need more images for this one, LOL. ;)
Let's not make these *super* challenging, guys, haha. I actually was looking at previous posts recently to try and remember how others had done it.
Not as challenging as it's going now. I mean I can understand, but.. yeah.
The three phones in the back remind me of, "A Man Called Smart". But I KNOW it can't be that one, lol.
caladon 11-24-2010, 09:06 PM Okey dokey; here's the next clue:
Ok. We have a young Hans Conried and fortune cookies. Would it be "The Mysterious Dr. T"? And if it is, why? :)
caladon 11-26-2010, 11:21 PM Ok. We have a young Hans Conried and fortune cookies. Would it be "The Mysterious Dr. T"? And if it is, why? :)
Congratulations; you're correct:
The picture of Hans Conried is taken from the movie "The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T" BTW, if you take a close look at his robe you'll see the letter "T" on it.
Fortune Cookies: Dr. T used fortune cookies to deliver his messages.
Your turn.
Wow. That was such a wild guess. I remember Siefried talking about fortune cookies in that episode but couldn't get the Hans Conried connection. Clever clue.
This one shouldn't be too taxing.
ClassicTVGal 11-28-2010, 04:53 PM Oh, yeah. 'The Mysterious Dr. T' is one of my favorite episodes. :D
The fortune cookie would have really gotten it for me, but I've been busy with company, lol. Good job, Ph1!
As for the paddles and mask, I say:
"Die, Spy" from Season Three. :)
And I'd say you'd be absolutely correct. Well done.
The ball (table tennis ball) is in your court. :)

This might be hard, and if you need clue, just ask.
I'm trying to be a tad creative here, lol.
caladon 11-30-2010, 02:27 AM I'm going to guess it's the pilot episode:
"Mr. Big"
I maybe wrong, but I think 99 and Max were supposed to contact each other by using the final score of a game as being 86 to 99.
ClassicTVGal 11-30-2010, 10:35 AM I'm going to guess it's the pilot episode: "Mr. Big"
I maybe wrong, but I think 99 and Max were supposed to contact each other by using the final score of a game as being 86 to 99.
You are absolutely right! GREAT job! :D
Over to you :)
caladon 12-02-2010, 03:45 AM Thank you.
Here's the next one.
ClassicTVGal 12-02-2010, 09:13 AM Sorry, but I can't quite tell what the first image is...
caladon 12-02-2010, 11:09 AM It's a nose.
I'm going to guess "How to Succeed in the Spy Business Without Really Trying" because:
The old gas mask in the false nose Max uses to thwart Siegfried and the fake Flight Insurance machine where Siegfried's sister worked before being exposed by Siegfried himself.
caladon 12-03-2010, 11:23 AM Congratulations. You're correct and you're right on the money with the clues.
Great job.
Your turn.
Thanks. I love this episode. Especially the part with Chief Ishamoto. The man with the fastest hands. Max's reaction after he gets clobbered always makes me laugh.
Next one.
ClassicTVGal 12-05-2010, 01:44 PM Diamonds Are A Spies Best Friend from Season 4. :)
Correct. Well done.
Over to you.

ClassicTVGal 12-08-2010, 11:19 AM Yes, it would be! :D
Over to you...
For a bonus point, what's the significance of this episode.
ClassicTVGal 12-10-2010, 11:26 AM I Am Curious Yellow
I could add to this, but not sure it's what you are looking for, lol.
Correct. Well done.
Feel free to add.

You forgot to add.
Is your latest clue "The Spirit is Willing"?
Ann Ferris with AF on the lighter and the seance scene with the crystal ball.
ClassicTVGal 12-16-2010, 11:04 AM You forgot to add.
Is your latest clue "The Spirit is Willing"?
Ann Ferris with AF on the lighter and the seance scene with the crystal ball.
No, I didn't. I had decided not too, lol.
What was it you wanted someone to add?
And yes, that is correct!
Good Job. Over to you now.
For a bonus point, what's the significance of this episode.
I thought you might try for the bonus point.
A new one to ponder over as well.
ClassicTVGal 12-18-2010, 05:27 PM I thought you might try for the bonus point.
A new one to ponder over as well.
Hmmm... even though I haven't seen it.
Those pics remind me of the new movie. (I have seen clips)
No. Nothing to do with the movie. I'm strictly for the TV show.
Hint#1
ClassicTVGal 12-20-2010, 12:17 AM No. Nothing to do with the movie. I'm strictly for the TV show.
Oh, I didn't mean that it WAS from the movie, I just said it reminded me of it. I'm still thinking, lol. I'm trying to remember an episode with floor lasers. I'll get back with ya. ;)
ClassicTVGal 01-11-2011, 08:57 PM OK, Ph1!, what episode is it? *lol* ^^^
You can't get away with it that easy. :)
Hint#2
It's a fourth season episode.
caladon 01-12-2011, 07:59 PM Howdy folks.
It's "Lazer Blazer;" an episode which IMHO contains the funniest opening scene of the series.
Correct caladon. Good job. Over to you.
Yeah, I like this episode too and not just the scenes with Julie Newmar
ClassicTVGal 01-13-2011, 07:08 PM You can't get away with it that easy. :)
No, I didn't really mean it like that.
It just seemed like this thread may have been slipped through the cracks b/c there hadn't been any response in a while.
caladon 01-15-2011, 01:34 AM Okay folks,
Here's the next one.
ClassicTVGal 01-15-2011, 01:33 PM O-kay.... LOL
I thought there might be something in the lettering but all I could glean is something about a sacred cow and meat extract.
I think I need a clue on this one.
caladon 01-22-2011, 11:33 PM I think you just provided your own clue; but here's another one.
Oh yeah. The band called The Sacred Cows and the pills that make make you tell lies from "The Groovy Guru".
ClassicTVGal 01-23-2011, 01:35 PM After I read your word, "sacred cows", I thought it sounded familiar.
caladon 01-24-2011, 03:49 PM Oh yeah. The band called The Sacred Cows and the pills that make make you tell lies from "The Groovy Guru".
Absolutely correct. Well done.
Over to you
I don't know why the name "sacred cow" didn't ring a bell straight away.
Next offering:
caladon 01-25-2011, 09:59 AM I'm going to guess "That Old Gang Of Mine."
The safe: Max was undercover as The Scar and assigned to open a safe.
The scorpion: The Tattoo shown on Van Cleef's leg which identifed her as a member of the gang.
Very good. Absolutely correct.
Your turn.
caladon 01-31-2011, 01:44 AM Thanks; sometimes I get lucky.
Here's the next one.
