I'm sure Patricia feels terrible. It's never an okay time to lose a loved one, although I will say that I would have loved to have had my parents here that long. Prayers to him and his loved ones.

Patty lost her mom at a young age. I am sure her dad was a rock for her during that time.

I didn't know that. I'm sure that experiencing tragedy at a young age had something to do with making her such a strong, independent woman.

She lost her mother to a brain aneurysm when she was 12. I think having 3 sisters and a brother also helped her cope with the tragedy.

She suffered of depression for many years after her mother died. She talks about it extensively in her book as well as in many interviews. I remember her saying that the death of her mother taught her how to be self-reliant.

Her father was a very respected writer and quite a kind and remarkable man. No wonder Patty is his daughter.

R.I.P Chuck!!!!
