what case was this?

I don't remember the victim's name but the name of the police chief who murdered her was Greg Webb. This case is on Disc 1 of the Bizarre Murders boxed set.

Thank you, all I could think of was Anna Anderson but I knew that was the woman from the Anastasia segment.

Anna Anton was the lady who moved to the same small town where Greg Webb lived, however none of the information she gave about herself was accurate. Her ex-husband was apparently not involved with drugs as she stated. I think that she figured Greg wanted a future with her and moved to be close to him. Too bad. I am glad he was eventually caught.

Unfortunately I think Webb has already been released from prison. Maybe Kadrmas can confirm that, I think he was the one who posted that info a while back.

Webb sure changed his looks when they caught him....maybe he just didn't look like the actor who was portraying him.....I wonder if he HAS been released, tho.

This case always perplexed me, Anna seemed to live a double life. By day, she was a devout Christian, and by night she was a bar fly.

I hope for his sake, he doesn't come near Nebraska (Lyons was the name of the town the case took place in) ever again....

He actually lives in Clarksville, TN. Intelius has him listed at age 58; Zabasearch.com has him listed at an address on Power Street (a very big street) in Clarksville under the name Gregory J Webb, where, if you Google, you'll find a registered sex offender also lives on the street. If you're wondering where Clarksville is, a Google map says it's about an hour northwest of Nashville, TN. Close to the Kentucky border (about 45 mins from Hopkinsville, KY)
