Recently, my fave DVD studio, Shout! Factory, released all 3 Mario cartoon series on DVD. However, one thing was sadly missing....
In the Mario 3 cartoon, there was an episode were Koopa's (the villain) daughter, wanted her fave band to play at her birthday party....
Milli Vanilli. I will pause while you laugh. The episode contained the likenesses and voices of the singing duo, various references to them, and even some of their music played in the background. This episode aired about 3 days before Milli Vanilli got caught lip syncing. Naturally, the makers of the cartoon were humiliated, and most (BUT NOT ALL) airings of the cartoon since then, have been cut to remove the songs and certain references. My fave being when Koopa tells them:
"Don't blame it on the rain, blame it on the koopa! HAH HAH!"
God Almighty. Terrible. Anyway's, needless to say, its the cut version that's on the DVD, and I cannot consider my collection complete until I have a bootleg of the original episode. Can anybody help? :)
