Welcome to Bash.com waichingliu81 02-13-2008, 03:38 PM awww! how sweet! i know gary has had many problems during the past but hopefully, his life will get better, afterwards. i offer my congrats to the couple :) Cactus Jack 02-13-2008, 04:06 PM "Do you wish to be Mr. Coleman's lawfully wedded leg?" TVFactFan 02-13-2008, 04:13 PM Yeah, this discussion is classy... oh lighten up-lol Dean Winchester 02-13-2008, 04:26 PM well, Gary's been bankrupt almost since the day Diff'rent Strokes left the air. He's not necessarily someone whose going to just have the pick of any girl he sees. Good for him, he's 40, if they love each other, more power to him. He's done the bitter former child star bit for almost 20 years. Dean Winchester 02-13-2008, 05:30 PM it's sad that everything Gary does is treated as a joke because of his past. It's not his fault that he couldn't grow in size, so he'd end up looking like Arnold for the rest of his life. He was one of the greatest child actors of the time, he had wonderful comic timing and he was the reason Diff'rent Strokes lasted eight seasons. The reason he became so bitter was because of his parents spending his money to the extent that he was broke by the time Strokes went off the air, and also because people always tease him because of who he was. I think with turning 40 and getting married, that hopefully things will look up for Gary again. He deserves his own happiness after all the happiness and laughter he brought millions of viewers in the 70's and 80's. coffield3 02-13-2008, 05:40 PM She looks like a goddess compared to his ugly ass.  Awww bless dawsongirl 02-14-2008, 01:36 AM Apparently their marriage is pretty rocky because of his temper. So says Inside Edition. Max Whittaker 02-14-2008, 01:43 AM Those are getting harder and harder to find these days. Welcome to Bash.com You noticed that, too? We remember when we basked forever in the light of 'Diff'rent Strokes' episodes. Hollow 02-14-2008, 02:01 AM looks like he's still eight years old. with some wrinkles and facial hair. TVFactFan 02-14-2008, 02:05 AM Apparently their marriage is pretty rocky because of his temper. So says Inside Edition. You are so bad. What makes her a monster??????????????, maybe I do need eye surgery-lol-lol Max Whittaker 02-14-2008, 02:08 AM What makes her a monster??????????????, maybe I do need eye surgery-lol-lol She looks nice. Do you know her? Ireneparalegal 02-14-2008, 02:08 AM Gary has been bitter for a long time. Something abt being known for a role that made him millions. Although, his parents lost most of his money. Sounds like he needs anger management and learn to get over the past and hopefully not take things out on his wife. TVFactFan 02-14-2008, 02:12 AM She looks nice. Do you know her? She had a nice dress on-lol Dean Winchester 02-14-2008, 02:16 AM she's not beautiful, but he could do worse. Plus, the man is famous for being a virgin well into his 30's, I think considering he's been a "hasbeen" for 22 years (since DS ended in 1986), I'd rather be happy for him to have something to celebrate in his life. Even during Diff'rent Strokes, he had a depressing childhood. He's 40 now, he deserves some happiness and if this girl brings it to him, more power to her. Stormtracker TF 02-14-2008, 02:32 AM Those are getting harder and harder to find these days. Welcome to Bash.com Sadly a lot of people these days seem to relish in the fact they can degrade people who they'll never know left and right. I find it disgusting, but whatever floats your boat. dawsongirl 02-14-2008, 02:53 AM Gary has been bitter for a long time. Something abt being known for a role that made him millions. Although, his parents lost most of his money. Sounds like he needs anger management and learn to get over the past and hopefully not take things out on his wife. The Inside Edition story said that he's recently been to anger management classes (because someone saw him fighting with his wife and called the cops), but his wife said it didn't work. TVFactFan 02-14-2008, 10:49 AM Solomon, she is not that bad...I have seen a lot uglier; actually, I think she is very pretty; gorgeous hair, eyes and skin; far from being a monster, but that is my opinion... my appt for eye surgery is feb 24, 2008 at 10am at Univ of penn hospital LOL-LOL Mikado 02-14-2008, 09:04 PM I guess he's no longer a virgin. Well, according to one of those tabloid shows, they still havent consumated their marriage, so, he still is, apparently! CAN YOU SAY....PUBLICITY STUNT? (I knew you could) Dean Winchester 02-14-2008, 09:14 PM  Good Luck on your "eye surgery";) Come On, she is not that bad; do you think Gary Coleman could score someone whom was in the, super model, caliber? I agree. Gary Coleman did fine. He is *not* Matt Damon or George Clooney, he's a broke washed up former child star whose been bankrupt since 1987, and plus he's tiny. He's not exactly going to have the pick of the litter. Mikado 02-14-2008, 09:35 PM I think shes attractive, far from being a monster. Dean Winchester 02-14-2008, 09:54 PM Hmmmmm, I find it hard to believe that he is still a virgin; remember, he was in a popular television series (at one time). I think, the fact that he has never been in a sexual relationship is a publicity stunt; even though, I think most people are indifferent if he has ever been with a woman or not! true, even if he is a hasbeen, surely the fact he was on a hit show would still get him laid if he wants. Cactus Jack 02-14-2008, 10:11 PM Im sure he did a lot of different strokes...in the bathroom. Dean Winchester 02-14-2008, 10:17 PM Yes, I am pretty sure Gary had his share of opportunities to be with the ladies, especially during the, Diff'rent Strokes days. rofl, you gotta remember that Gary was 12-13 when the show was at it's height in popularity circa 1980-1981 Ireneparalegal 02-14-2008, 11:12 PM I think shes attractive, far from being a monster. OMG i so agree. My boyfriend was watching Inside Edition and he told me they were going to be on there, so I watched. She is absolutely pretty. The wedding pic posted here on the board doesn't do her justice. She has gorgeous eyes, pretty hair and flawless skin. She has a prominent jaw which some may find throws off her beauty, but hell, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and for Gary (and myself and a lot of people here) she is a beauty. So many women would be happy to have her skin and eyes. Far from a monster. There are women who are absolutely pretty but have an ugly personality and THAT to me, makes them ugly. junecleaver 02-15-2008, 01:17 AM She looks normal but on Inside Edition they were mentioning how Gary has problems with his anger. From all the times i've seen Gary on news shows and stuff, he always acts like a big baby. Someone wanted his autograph or something and he got all pissed off at them. I think one asked him to say the line "what you talking about Willis?" and he got really bent out of shape about it. What the heck do you expect when you make a tv show with a popular line? He seemed so nice and cute in the Different Strokes days but now he just seems bitter and mean. I would never want to meet him in person. I'd change this thread's title to Monster Gary Coleman is married to someone who is too good for him. Dean Winchester 02-15-2008, 01:19 AM why is he so rude to fans asking for autographs? Isn't his big beef the fact that he's a hasbeen and doors are closed to him for who he was? You'd think he would be glad if someone walked up to him and said "Mr. Coleman, I'm a big fan of your work, do you mind signing an autograph for me?" since he's so bitter that it doesn't happen enough to him. junecleaver 02-15-2008, 01:22 AM I truly believe that is WHY he is a hasbeen. He probably had lots of opportunities to get new acting jobs but with his attitude probably didn't want to take them up or nobody wanted someone as mean as him. He should be thankful he even got the chance to act in Diffrent strokes, some people go through life wishing to be an actor and never are able to become one. Dean Winchester 02-15-2008, 01:29 AM I would say Todd Bridges has been through worse than Gary has since Strokes ended, with the drug addictions and everything, but yet he pulled himself out of the rubble. Granted, he's still pretty much seen as a former child star, but he does get work and was on Young And The Restless for a while a couple years back (and Y&R is the #1 soap on television). He's been through hell and back, but he's a more assertive person and worked his butt off at trying to show he's reformed and has had steady work in recent years. Yet Gary is such a bitter little man and is a punchline. It's such a shame and I do blame his adoptive parents for how he turned out. He was such a cute lovable little boy but his parents manipulated him and ripped him off millions of dollars that he made during his Strokes run (I read once that he was second to Larry Hagman as the highest paid actor on television), that it negatively affected him. That is why I hope his wife will finally bring out some joy he's been lacking for 20 years. Ireneparalegal 02-15-2008, 01:38 AM On the segment shown today, Gary stated he is bitter and angry for people always remembering him for his DS days. Excuse me, but what else has he done that he expects people to recognize him for? I agree with his comment that he doesn't understand how people expect him to still be this cute little kid, when in fact he is an adult. I can understand that. However, being angry and bitter is not the solution. His wife stated he has a terrible anger problem and he doesn't know how to control it. He said he regrets his DS days and would never do it again if he had to do it all over again. As for his parents, he stated he has not spoken to them since he sued them for his money. His parents were shown in a tape from 10 years ago where his parents were over what had occurred and only wish to have a relationship with their son, but sadly, he doesn't want that. It is a sad situation because obviously Gary doesn't seek the help he needs and I feel, unfortunately, that his marriage will dissolve if he doesn't seek that help quickly. He is allowing old issues to still control his feelings and he admits he is angry man because of those old issues. He is allowing old issues to still control his feelings and he admits he is angry man because of those old issues. Exactly. I really dont know who would still think Gary to be a cute little kid, if there is anyone out there who thinks he's still a little kid they got research to do. I think that thought is all in Gary's head. They should treat him with respect if they dont already, but its hard to treat someone with respect who takes every little thing so seriously and is always defensive about stuff that doesnt make sense. I know he had every right to be mad when his parents sued him or whatever happened, but what can he do now? It's over. Being bitter and angry is going to do nothing but cut his marriage short, and his life. Being mad all the time certainly has a negative impact on health. Janice 02-15-2008, 04:09 AM Well, I am pretty sure there are a lot of ardent fans of his show, that would not mind being intimate with him... That's true. Not only that, but many small people marry and have families. They usually marry other small people. They're not freaks of nature. I know you know that, just saying. You know what I mean, lol. ;) Ireneparalegal 02-15-2008, 10:48 PM http://www.insideedition.com/news.aspx?storyID=1289 Gary Coleman, the 40-year-old star of Diff’rent Strokes, speaks exclusively with INSIDE EDITION in a two part interview about his secret wedding to 22-year-old Shannon Price. Coleman tells INSIDE EDITION the couple married secretly on August 28, 2007 on a Nevada mountaintop after meeting on the set of one of Coleman’s movies. The ceremony was extremely intimate. Coleman says, “Nobody was around but the minister, preacher, the videographers, the photographer, the helicopter pilot and us. That was all that was there. There was nobody else.” Price, who actually proposed to Coleman, tells INSIDE EDITION he surprised her with their wedding on her 22nd birthday. “I didn’t know that I was going to be in a helicopter ride and seeing the Grand Canyon and getting married in the Valley of Fire. I had no clue,” says the blushing bride. “I mean I knew that we were getting married, but I thought it would be just a little chapel.” Coleman, who is only 4’8” tall, admits that this is the first “romantic relationship” he has participated in. “I never got the opportunity to be romantic or feel romantic with anyone…I wasn’t saving myself, she just happened to be the one.” Price, who stands over 5’7” tall, tells INSIDE EDITION height was never a factor in their relationship. “He was ten feet tall to me because he was sweet and I really liked his personality. That doesn’t really matter to me.” Coleman echoes Price’s sentiment when it comes to their age difference telling INSIDE EDITION, “I don’t have issues with age, I have issues with intelligence…She’s more intelligent then I am and that’s what matters to me.” The couple also shares the reason they say they kept their marriage a secret. Price says, “I just want my own identity as well because I don’t want to be known as Gary Coleman’s wife.” Her proud husband agrees. “I wouldn’t want that in a million years. I wouldn’t want you to be known as Gary Coleman’s wife. I hope you do get successful. She’s a great eBay-er. She’s a fabulous eBay-er. I hope she gets famous for that.” Price, who sells Coleman’s memorabilia on eBay, admits to INSIDE EDITION that she did not know who Coleman was when she met him on the set of Churchball. “He was really sweet and I didn’t know who he was. I didn’t grow up with Diff’rent Strokes. I actually didn’t like watching TV when I was younger.” Price and Coleman tell INSIDE EDITION the honeymoon stage of their marriage has waned with Price describing the relationship as “off and on.” “We may go a week and not speak to each other, but that’s because you’re thinking and mulling things over,” says Coleman. Price explains, saying, “Yeah, I’ve locked myself in a room and stayed there because I’m like, ‘You know what? I don’t even want to fight over this, its ridiculous.” Price admits on several occasions the fights have gone beyond yelling. “He lets his anger conquer him sometimes, I don’t like the violence, I really don’t…He throws things around, and sometimes he throws it in my direction…He’s got to damage something before his anger stops.” Coleman explains to INSIDE EDITION why he threw a printer on the morning of his interview with the television show. “I threw the printer because my agent wanted to send me a fax, and it wouldn’t fax, and she (Price) was upset at me over something that I had done. And I just took that printer and said, ‘You know what, you just need to die.’” According to Price, she has had to call the police on several occasions. “He actually got a disorderly conduct ticket one time because we had gotten into an argument, just a minor argument in Provo. The guy gave him a ticket and he freaked out and he was on six months probation…He had to go take an anger management class."
