Ask Lauren anything. And away we go....
My questions:
1. What is the story behind your SO username?
2. What would you say is your major accomplishment in the last year or so?
Holly 02-11-2008, 10:19 AM Do you like Mondays or do you hate them?
LuLu Rogers 02-11-2008, 12:10 PM Swedeace
1. What is the story behind your SO username? Well, I love Trapper and Hawkeye from M*A*S*H, what can I say? ;)
2. What would you say is your major accomplishment in the last year or so? Major accomplishment, hmm....I guess learning to love myself, it's taken a long time for me to be able to do that.
LuLu Rogers 02-11-2008, 12:11 PM Holly
Do you like Mondays or do you hate them? Hate them! It means the weekend is over and I have to go back to class. :(
Number 9 Dream 02-11-2008, 12:34 PM Yay, Lauren got picked! :woohoo:
*clears throat* If we were to meet up in the future, what would you like to do? (e.g., go out to eat, sight-see, etc.?) :)
LuLu Rogers 02-11-2008, 12:52 PM Kristel
If we were to meet up in the future, what would you like to do? (e.g., go out to eat, sight-see, etc.?) Girl, you know I'm not hard to please! Doing anything with you would be awesome! :D Maybe some sight-seeing and going to a play or something! :)
Nighthawk76 02-11-2008, 02:06 PM 2. What would you say is your major accomplishment in the last year or so? Major accomplishment, hmm....I guess learning to love myself, it's taken a long time for me to be able to do that.
That is a very mature thing to say, Lauren. It takes many people years to be able to love themselves. I know people who didn't really become satisfied with who they were until they were in their 40's or 50's. I think when you get to be that age it is just easier to take things in life in stride and not to let the small things get to you. This is certainly not a place where I am yet. Though I can honestly say that I like myself most of the time and that isn't something I would have said a year ago, so I am making progress.

It's definately been a tough road, and I'm not completely there yet, but I'm much better than I used to be. Thanks to the support of some very special people. :)
Or you more of an adventure seeking person or a sight-seeing person? And where would be your ideal vacation spot?

I'm more of a sight-seeing person. I've always wanted to go to Hawaii, Paris, Australia, England and Ireland :)

Have you ever gone through the "If its not old I dont watch it" phase? Yes, many times. :D
Are you the only person who likes the current TV Land schedule? The only thing I like about it is M*A*S*H and Night Court, that's it.
Did you ever watch TV Land in the ol days when they had Brady Bunch, Get Smart, Gilligan's Island, Happy Days, Leave it to Beaver and shows like that? Eh, I like Happy Days, but the rest of those shows just aren't my cup of tea. I did enjoy watching Pettycoat Junction though. :)
LuLu Rogers 02-11-2008, 08:34 PM Irene
I already know the answer to this but for those who don't know, WHEN WOULD YOU HAVE RATHER BEEN BORN? WHAT ERA? and why? Well, I would rather have been born in either the 1940's or the 1960's. My taste in music, movies, actors, ect. Is all about 30 years before my time. I guess I'm pretty weird, lol ;)
What is the worst weather condition you have dealt with?
Some pretty bad tornadoes came through here a few years back, it was really scary! We had to take cover in the bathroom for over an hour.
What are your fave five tv shows?
1.M*A*S*H (What a shocker! ;) )
2.Friends
3.Three's Company
4.8 Simple Rules
5.Married with Children
Mikado 02-11-2008, 10:04 PM What kind of art inspires you, Lauren?
Would you prefer your life to be a rushing tornado, or a soft wistful snowfall?
Do you write fanfics to please yourself, or others? (your readers)
Would you like to come up to Canada and experience a true winter?
LuLu Rogers 02-11-2008, 10:17 PM Mikado
What kind of art inspires you, Lauren? Well, being a writer, words inspire me more than anything, but I really enjoy 50's style pin-up art. I love the nostalgic, pop-culture feel I get when I see it. :)
Would you prefer your life to be a rushing tornado, or a soft wistful snowfall? Umm...I'm going to go with soft wistful snowfall.
Do you write fanfics to please yourself, or others? (your readers)
I write for ME! It's great to get feedback and support from readers, but my writing is mainly for me.
Would you like to come up to Canada and experience a true winter? Two Words: HELL NO!
Mikado 02-11-2008, 11:38 PM  Love your first answer , but, the laugh is for the last one ;) (hell no)

Youre given an "open" bus ticket, one week all expenses paid, you can go anywhere in the USA (Non-stop, return trip), where would you go?
M*A*S*H is taken off TV, do you A) just buy the DVDs or B) Write the TV station a nasty letter?

dawsongirl 02-12-2008, 12:22 AM If you could have any career in the world, what would it be?
Wayne shows up at your door (for whatever reason). Your first reaction is...?
LuLu Rogers 02-12-2008, 12:26 AM Mikado
Are you a city girl, or a country girl? (I dont think youve ever really said) I'm a COUNTRY GIRL, Born and Raised! I grew up around cow pastures and horse farms and I LOVED every minute of it! ;)
Youre given an "open" bus ticket, one week all expenses paid, you can go anywhere in the USA (Non-stop, return trip), where would you go? Only one place? Well...normally I would've said California, since I've never been there, but right now I'd have to say Austin, Texas. ;)
M*A*S*H is taken off TV, do you A) just buy the DVDs or B) Write the TV station a nasty letter? I'd do both. I'd buy all the dvds(I already have several) and then write the network a letter, telling them what an indecency they've committed! :angryfire: ;)
LuLu Rogers 02-12-2008, 12:28 AM Crazy For Blair
What for you would be a romantic evening, Lauren? Sitting at home, watching a movie, cuddled up on the couch under a blanket with a fire burning and the rain pouring down outside. *sigh* ;)
LuLu Rogers 02-12-2008, 12:30 AM dawsongirl

Are there any antiques you own, or would like to? I've always wanted a record player, one of the real pretty antique ones :)
What is your most cherished souvenir item, from someone you loved, who has passed on? My grandfather gave me his guitar two years before he died.
