Well, since she graduated while still be being schooled on the set odds are she received her diploma from the state of California, where she legally attended school. That's what happens when you homeschool: you receive a diploma from the state, because you have to register with them in order to homeschool.
...This is just a guess though. The reason I know about homeschooling is because my cousin does it, so I just assume it would be the same.
