I was raised by my mother. She raised six of us. My father bailed when I was seven. He had other kids as well and he didn't pay one penny of child support. I will never forget him for that. My mother did an excellent job raising us. It was a struggle, but she did a wonderful job because none of us grew up to be criminals or in the streets. We weren't saints, though my two sisters gave my mother the most trouble. (guys, teen age pregnacy, etc) My father is stil around, he walked backed into the picture when I was 20 years old, when I didn't need him. He didn't see me grow up. So when I saw him, it was like, "What's up?" He's my father naturally, but he wasn't a father to me. So I don't know what's it like to have a father. There are many single parents in the world that probably outnumber two parent homes.
