I was raised by my mother. She raised six of us. My father bailed when I was seven. He had other kids as well and he didn't pay one penny of child support. I will never forget him for that. My mother did an excellent job raising us. It was a struggle, but she did a wonderful job because none of us grew up to be criminals or in the streets. We weren't saints, though my two sisters gave my mother the most trouble. (guys, teen age pregnacy, etc) My father is stil around, he walked backed into the picture when I was 20 years old, when I didn't need him. He didn't see me grow up. So when I saw him, it was like, "What's up?" He's my father naturally, but he wasn't a father to me. So I don't know what's it like to have a father. There are many single parents in the world that probably outnumber two parent homes.

OH Nuts!

Your mother raised you or your father?

i was raised mostly by my mom, although my dad was there too, until she died when i was 13 and my dad took over. he really didn't do a good job raising me, nor did he seem to try much. i'm 18 now and i moved into the dorms at my college even though it's only ten minutes away, just to get away from him.
