Back in 1986-87, there were ads in the trade publication "Broadcasting & Cable" for a proposed syndicated sitcom called "Three Apartments", which would have placed members of the casts from "The Ropers", "Too Close for Comfort" and "Three's A Crowd" into one setting. Now don't ask me how that would have worked, story-line wise, but apparently it never even got to the pilot stage. anyone else ever hear about this one?

That's freaky. Where did you learn this? Did you see the ads yourself?

Kinda gives background to this John Ritter quote: "Three's Company was originally called Three Companies, about a trio of pharmaceutical companies. It was 10 times funnier."

Yep I saw the ads myself and the articles in the magazine about the proposed show. My college library got the magazine and I faithfully read that every issue--you learned so much about the syndication business and what shows were selling etc.
