LOS ANGELES (AFP) - Actress Kirsten Dunst has become the latest celebrity to enter rehab, a source close to the "Spider-Man" and "Marie Antoinette" star told People magazine on Thursday.

Dunst, 25, has checked into the exclusive Cirque Lodge Center in Utah, People reported, the same facility that housed starlet Lindsay Lohan last year and where actress Eva Mendes is currently being treated.

People cited a source as saying that Dunst had entered rehab after the pleas of friends.

"She's not doing well," the source says. "People were pushing her to go in there but there was no intervention ... It's good she's getting herself help."

Dunst most recently starred in last summer's blockbuster "Spider-Man 3", where she plays the girlfriend of the webslinging comic-book hero.

The actress is due to appear in romantic comedy "How to Lose Friends and Alienate People" later this year.

what's with the :rolleyes:? i think it's more sad that she has a problem then anything.

it is pretty shocking, but its good she hasnt made a media spectacle of herself and voluntarily did this. hopefully, she can get the help she needs before becoming another paparazzi obsession.

I am really saddened to hear this. I really like Kirsten. I think she and Natalie Portman are the most talented young actresses out there. I'm glad she is getting the help that she needs.
