In an old thread, somebody told me that on the Classic 39 DVD's, the opening (with the names in the moons) plays once you select each episode. I'm curious to know how it was done on the Lost Episodes DVD's though. As anybody who has/had the Lost Episodes on VHS knows, there was usually one long episode and one short episode per tape, and the opening only played for the first episode, which was the longer one. For the shorter ones, a black screen was displayed with the episode's title. Is that how it was done on the DVD's too, or does the opening play for the shorter episodes as well? If someone could post some screen caps of the DVD menus, that would be helpful too...

The opening theme plays when the DVD is inserted. It's the same opening as the Clasic 39, except as each name is announced a still of the character moves into the picture, so by the time Joyce Randolph is announced all 4 of them are on the screen. Once you're on the main menu each episode begins without the opening theme playing again, although there is a menu item for playing the opening theme.

Unfortunately I don't have a place to store screen captures on the Internet so I can't help with that.

Is it some sort of option you can select so that the opening plays when you choose an episode? Also, are there ending credits at the end of each episode?

I haven't seen an option to play the opening credits at the beginning of each episode. For closing crediat, some episodes include them and some do not. There is a separate closing credits menu if you just want to play them.
