A common practice every ten years or so in certain comic books is to "reboot" or "retcon" a popular hero. What this means is that they go back to square one, the origin and have the hero "reborn" with a more modern feel. Certain elements of the hero may remain, but other elements are discarded so that the hero can be refashioned for today's audience.
"Retconning" also refers to revising certain past events so that they happened differently or not at all. Sometimes a storyline proves to be unpopular, so later it is either ignored or revised to reflect a different point of view.
Anyway, if you could, which of your favorite shows would you "retcon" or "reboot." Remember, this can mean going back to the beginning or a certain point in the show's run.
I would go back to season seven of Happy Days and either have it end there, with Richie and the gang graduating college or the gang graduating college and making their first forays into adult life with jobs, new social situations, etc. In my HD, there'd be no Roger, Jenny, Flip or any of those add-on characters.
What about you?? What would you redo??
