Likely to join Christian Bale for the fourth installment – titled “Terminator Salvation : The Future Begins” – is all-round nice guy and “No Country for Old Men” scene-stealer Josh Brolin.

Brolin would wear the endoskeleton of the new Terminator, director McG (“Charlies Angels”) tells IF Magazine.

‘’It's a decidedly masculine role and we live in a time, where a lot of actors are very effeminate and there's a masculine component to the role and there are guys out there like Russell Crowe and Eric Bana who bring a good physicality and do what they do, but I don't know if they're exactly right at the end of the day. Josh Brolin is a very exciting actor, so we'll see.’’

Not that Christian Bale, who’ll play John Connor, is too shabby an actor either.

“He’s the most talented actor of our generation,” the man who gave us ‘Marisa Cooper’ says.

As for whether Robert Patrick – we know Arnold’s not coming back – will reprise his role from “T2” for “T4”?

“There will be a suggestion of the liquid metal development and a suggestion of the T-800 development,” says McG. “It’s going to be a tip of the hat. We’re undecided if there’s going to be an actual appearance.”

Interesting. I'll give it a look. I didn't think the Sarah Conner Chronicles would be any good but I have really been enjoying it so this one will definately be worth looking into.

Good casting choice.

They'd better sign him up qick. His price will probably go up if "No COuntry For Old Men" sweeps the Oscars.

My husband loves that show too, and is a huge Lonesome Dove fan too. Small world and welcome to SO.

As for Josh Brolin, go for it baby! With Christian Bale and him, now there's a hunkfest, lol. We love the Terminator series. The Terminator can come on any Saturday afternoon, and we watch it like it's the first time, every time.

Thanks. Not to get off topic but I'm actually reading the book Lonesome Dove and it's amazing how much was left out of the movie for as long as it was.

Thes are 2 of my favorite scenes

For what I've heard The Sarah Conner Chronicles is crap. Plus only Arnie is the real Terminator

Actually it's not too bad. They've done a good job of expanding the whole Terminator storyline.

I just watched the clips, and they sure brought back memories. They showed that bartender good, and Tommy Lee Jones gave a serious ass whooping to that guy, lol. Good stuff. Thanks.
