as its chinese new year here in the UK, as well as in canada and the US, may i wish you guys a happy new year :) . i am going to the festivities in london today to enjoy the celebrations

I noticed you used the Cantonese-anglicized version of that greeting for your title. In the UK, is the Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese dialect more popular?

thanks for asking. well here, british born chinese people like myself are more familiar with cantonese, as opposed to mandarin. i think the same can be said for other american, canadian born chinese who mainly speak cantonese as their second or first language.

btw, that looks so cool stella!
