Last year the death of Anna Nicole Smith on February 8, 2007 was a shock to many. Especially to those of us who had followed her life and career. She had just lost her beloved only son, Daniel, five months prior and shortly after having giving birth to her daughter, Danilynn. Her death, although untimely and unexpected, was due to her massive use of prescription medication and I truly believe, a broken heart from the loss of her son. I hope her tragic death is a wake-up call to many.

Anna Nicole was beautiful, whether she was overweight or not, she had such a beautiful smile and her love and devotion to her son Daniel is what made her even more beautiful. She left behind a beautiful daughter and I hope her daughter has in life the things that Anna Nicole would have wanted for her.

Anna Nicole, may she rest in peace. :rip:

Can't believe it's been a year :(. I miss seeing her pretty face on TV. May she and Daniel be at peace together and may Dannielynn (who's as beautiful as Anna was) carry on her legacy.

Anna's death should've been a grim reminder, but instead, the intense media hoopla has made the media fixate even more of "trainwreck" celebrities hoping they can kill them off so they can fight over who breaks the news first. It's all so disgusting and dirty and it's a shame. I do blame the media for helping kill Anna. She was in a very vulnerable place after losing Daniel as well as just giving birth to Dannilynn but people wouldn't leave her be.

I honestly wonder if Anna was still alive, if the Britney exposure wouldn't have been as excessive.

It seems like just yesterday! I was watching the court battle of where she was going to be buried on TV and then her funeral. I saw on TV today Larry took Dannilynn to the Bahamas to visit her mother gravesite and she was calling out to her Mommy. These were just previews so it will be on tomorrow, on The Insider. I feel so bad for her daughter growing up without her mother. :( RIP Anna Nicole.

I think that is what made the year go by fast. The whole mess of a court hearing and the daily news and gossip, hearsay and so many other things being said and done regarding Anna Nicole. I remembered it was coming up because she died right after my daughter's b-day.

A year already. That makes me so sad. Her daughter will never know her, in this life anyway. For now, Anna's with Danielle. That is one of the saddest stories I think I've ever heard, out of Hollywood.

while it's sad, I do wonder if Dannilynn is better off having no recollection of her mother's downward spiral instead of Anna continuing to self-destruct throughout the preschool years and then suddenly have her die in kindergarten. Dannilynn got away from the Howard Stern mess before she was a year old, so when she's older, her earliest memories will be of Larry loving her. Granted, she will always feel a lack of not having her mother around, but I don't forsee her spending her 20's and 30's in therapy like some other kids of (unnamed in here) pop culture trainwrecks will probably be when they get older.

My mother died when I was in Kindergarten. It was two weeks after my 6th birthday. Albeit it was a sad feeling not seeing my mother, but it didn't affect me until I was older, but by then I had come to the realization she was gone. I think having lost her at such a young age helped me to deal with it better than had I lost her as a teen or an adult. Losing my father just 3 1/2 years ago was much harder on me to deal with because I did have him all my life and I had to let him go.

I hope that Larry Birkhead marries a wonderful woman, a non-celebrity. I hope it's a great marriage, and they have kids. I hope Larry's wife loves Dannielynn as her own child, and adopts her. I'm hoping for a lot here. I'm hoping it all happens.

I hope too. It has to happen. How much more cruelty can be inflicted upon this child? She deserves happiness and with Larry as her daddy, it will happen. ;)

I think Dannielynn has a very happy and bright future in front of her too. You can tell Larry adores her to pieces and I love the fact that he keeps memories and pictures of Anna and Daniel all around the house. I don't think there was one room without a picture of Anna.

Not to mention how CUTE she is! She's right up there in the Shiloh and Suri league
