That's always been MY all time favorite episode also. On The lucy Show it was the Dean Martin one and on Here's Lucy the Burton/Taylor one. For The Lucy Desi comedy hour it was the Danny Thomas one and for Life with Lucy the Audrey meadows one.

I can tell you my fave ep; the Scotland one...but the funniest? Thats almost impossible to say, theres SO many! I cant think of one that DIDNT make me laugh! :)

My two favorite episode are Ethel's Birthday and Lucy Changes Her Mind. I love Ethel's comments about the "hostess pants" and it's so funny when Lucy dances with the mannequin in the dress shop!! What always gets me about the "changes her mind episode" is that the first part of that episode they show her always changing her mind about the food and the restaurant, but the second half of that episode is about her finishing what she started, like the letter to Tom the fur guy. It just seems strange, even though it is one my favorites.

I love Ethel's B-day episode. That is a crack up!

Funny, when it comes to mentioning the funniest episode or scene, rarely is it said the chicken episode where Lucy has all those eggs in her shirt, yet, that scene has the distinction of having the longest laugh ever by a studio audience recorded for television. I guess because it is ONE MOMENT as opposed to the whole episode being funny, like Ethel's birthday where from beginning to end it has many funny moments.

As i said, I cant think of just one ep that was funniest....if i HAD to chose one, maybe the one where Lucy and Ethel get stuck on the roof for the night...maybe

Your tastes change over the decades. I used to HATE the musical shows, i LOVE them now. Critics used to say the BALLET one was the best, now the same ones keep being mentionned, Vita, chocolates, grapes etc . . . My hating DRAFTED will never change, although i despised Scotland, but the new color version has made me fall in love with it lately. And for some reason, my latest FAVE is The Fur Coat, funny all the way through. That's true, what someone said about THE EGGS, biggest laugh but not a funny show per se.

After all these years, I still can't pick a favorite episode, but I believe that the one episode that had me laughing so hard it had me in tears was "Lucy Learns to drive".It killed me when her and Ethel were trying to pry those cars apart! Then they tried to cover it up! LMAO! To this day, no matter how many times I see that one, I still laugh like it was my first time watching it.

:lol: No, she tried prying the cars apart after she tried the U-turn in the Holland tunnel. She had just tried that after driving with Ricky for the first time. He was so mad that he got out of the car speechless! LOL! Then she decided that she was an expert and tried to teach Ethel to drive and that is when they crashed into the other car. :lol: :lol:

I especially LOVED the part where she's telling Ethel what happened and she describes the scene and tells of this OTHER car passing her and she gives the driver a dirty look but then notices there is no driver, LOL!
