Ok I know this will never happen since the star of the show is no longer with us.But if John never passed away do you think we would of had a reunion show or a TV reunion movie by now? Since last year was The 30th Anniversary I would like to think so.And if they did a TV movie what do you think it would of been about? Does Jack now have a whole chain of Jack Bistros threw out LA? Does Jannet still work in the flower shop? Is Larry still selling used cars? I think a reunion movie would of been great. But sadly we will never get to see one. But It's nice to wonder what became of Jack,Janet,Chrissy,Cindy,Terry,Larry,The Roppers, and Ralph Furley, and yeah Lana Shields too?

OK, let's pretend all the actors are available. Plot, plot, plot. What would a reunion be about? It's supposed to be a farce, right? And the ending as it was rules that out completely. To have the characters reunited after having gone their separate ways is just too melodramatic.

The rest may as well go in the fan-fiction forum, I suppose. Here's one way of doing it. Let's pretend, in true eighties TV style, that the last three episodes were a dream, that on Wednesday, March 9, 1984, Terri wakes up with a headache, having crashed out the afternoon before after a particularly nasty 48-hour spell at Wilshire Memorial, and the only thing that stays is her deep desire, subliminally expressed, as it were, to dump the whole thing and go off to Hawaii. And things continue as they were, for a while. One Saturday morning that summer, Jack confides to Larry that he's finally ready to propose to Janet. He's got the ring and everything, but he's just waiting for the right moment. And this is where the fun begins. Over the next three days, ALL the related characters ever seen crash by and require, for some reason or another, a place to stay, temporarily. Picture Chrissy, Cindy, everyone's parents and sisters and uncles and what not, the Ropers, their neighbors the Brookes, Lana, Angelino, Felipe, Travers... tripping over each other, and, of course, Jack, Janet, Terri, Furley, and Larry, in every apartment in the complex and in the Reagle Beagle and in Jack's Bistro and in Angelino's restaurant, even at the Wilshire Memorial reception hall, misunderstanding everything and misunderstanding the misunderstandings... And all through this, Jack keeps telling Janet that he has something to say to her, and Janet in her tilted level-headed way shooing him off for the time being, and Terri saying she should have just gone off to Hawaii. And everyone getting more and more and more frazzled, of course. Let's assume all the misunderstandings arise over marriage proposals, imagined AND real, from one character to another, whether or not they are already married or not -- but NOT involving Jack or Janet. (I can just see Rev. Snow and Lana as one possible pseudo-couple.) And let's make every misunderstanding traceable to Furley -- bug-eyes, anyone? Finally, everything sorted out and all the crashers having left, Jack and Janet sit on the sofa, and Janet asks him, well, what did you want to tell me. And Jack says, oh it's nothing, really, I changed my mind, after seeing all this I'm terrified of getting into what I wanted to get into... Janet asks, what, what, what??? And Jack says, oh, nothing, just propose to you, silly... And Janet looks at him and after a LONG, LONG pause says, nahhh, with a handwave. So both laugh and flick on the TV set. ... And then Jack wakes up and it's Janet's wedding day as per the last episode.

PS. I see the ending credits rolling over an Aloha Airlines jet taking off.

PPS. If anyone thinks that there's no point to any of the above, consider that TC was superficially about nothing years before Seinfeld made it a buzz-phrase.
