Some time ago, I typed "2008 VW Beetle" in Google and found several pics of this "New Beetle" based wagon.....Should VW build this thing, and, would you buy it? (I guess it answers the question "What if I love the Beetle, but need more room?" :lol: )

I don't drive stick. And even if I did, that would be the last car I would get. Me and VW's don't mix. :lol:

Well I wouldn't buy it personally but that's because I don't need it. It's cute though and if I had kids or something maybe I'd consider buying it. :)

Well, I dont mind the new Beetle but, I prefer the old one too......especially the 55-57s with the "Bullet" turn signal lights and a ragtop

Oh I hate VW's, I like the color of the cars I just hate the cars. There is a lady here that has one and she hates having to drive it in the snow and on ice because it slips and slides all the time but she refuses to get rid of it and buy another car. I will never buy one. I love the vehical I have which is a Jeep Liberty. I like it because I sit up higher, you turn on the lights and it looks almost like it's day light out and it handles great on ice and snow

I am a truck/hummer person, so I personally wouldn't buy it because of my preferences. But i think that is the best VW beetle i ever saw, it is cute, doesn't look weird like the original ones do. It's more modern looking and even the color is good for it.

What model? Ive had 3 VWs and they were the best handling cars I've ever owned (At least the 1980 Rabbit and 1988 Golf were, the 1972 Beetle didnt handle quite as well)

no. i like the vw bugs because they're cute & small. but this is too big and mini van looking for me.

I don't know. It kind of throws off the whole symmetry of the "Beetle" form.
And besides, those new beetles are overly-expensive as it is. I would guess this thing would be up there in price as well.
But if you have the money, and you like the look, go for it.
I'd prefer the original Beetle myself.
