In the episode The Back Story i have alway's felt that Darlene was treated differently, for example it was Djs birthday and he got a nintendo and with Becky Roseanne and Dan matched dollar for dollar on her saving's toward's a car, Darlene didnt get anything, not even the leather jacket that she wanted on a previous birthday. I don't blame her for calling her grandfather at the end of that episode :lol:
Plus there is an episode where Bev offer's to buy Darlene a stereo system, then Roseanne put's a stop to it, why not just let her buy it for her? (skin is a gift) lol

I may be confused, but I think Becky and DJ got those gifts in season 4, when the Conner's were doing better financially. And Darlene didn't get what she wanted because they had just lost the bike shop.

So I think it just depended on the how well the Conner's were doing with money.

Exactly, that is what im saying, why didnt they get Darlene the leather jacket then when they were doing better financially? or something else at least, i just felt like she was left out in that episode.

Well, it was DJ's birthday AND Darlene wasn't old enough to drive. Sooooooooooooo, I'm assuming that's why.

PS: Remember in Darlene Fades to Black, Roseanne let Darlene go shopping and she got several things. Becky and DJ didn't get ANYTHING.

I think Roseanne just gave her kids things when she felt they needed/deserved them. DJ got stuff for his Birthday, Becky got the car deal when she was OF age to drive, and Darlene got clothes when Roseanne wanted to see her happy.

No, DJ's Nintendo and Becky's car came when they still had the bike shop so they could have gotten Darlene's leather coat. Beaky was a spoiled brat for being the oldest. Darlene being the middle child got screwed over on that level. Of course, the middle child always seems to get screwed over, I know from experince of being a middle child myself.
