I remember a sitcom, I think from the '80s, the opening sequence of which featured shots of the lead actor, but with the wrong name in the title, and he would notice this and make comically angry faces. Then finally at the end, they title would list his name correctly and he would make a happy face -
Does this ring a bell with anyone?
I cannot remember the name of the show!

The Monkees used that gag for one season; the name "Peter" would be
in the opening onscreen credits for each of the other Monkees (Davy, Micky
and Mike) as they would each do a double-take. Then, finally, Peter Tork
himself would show up next to his name. But that was back in the late 1960s.

The same thing happened in Friends, I think it was the season 6 premiere. Courtney Cox wanted to add Arquette to the end of her name b/c she was recently married, so all the cast members had it at the end of their names also (Jennifer Aniston Arquette, Matthew Perry Arquette, etc.)

Sorry, can't help with the name of the show.
I briefly remember in the season 7 opener of Roseanne - it was the first episode after the divorce between Roseanne and Tom Arnold. It was also the first episode where Roseanne was listed in the credits by her first name only. So, as a gag, all the other cast members were only listed by their first names (John, Laurie, Sara, etc.). I haven't seen it like that though since.
