This is just a reminder that the new Perfect Strangers DVD box set of the first and second seasons is coming out on Tuesday, February 5th. No more waiting for a chopped-up episode to appear on ION, no more sneaking a peek at short clips on YouTube before they get taken down - this is the real thing!

Don't wait - go out there and get your box set this coming Tuesday and show Warner Bros. that we're serious about having the whole series come out on DVD!

I went ahead and pre ordered it on Amazon. I'm so excited! I hope that it does well so that we can have more seasons.

I didn't think they were going to do anything to promote the DVD. It's not even 20 seconds long, but it's better than nothing. :)

I'm not sure if I should buy this or not? What if season 1 is all we get? I'm sick and tired of the studios releasing Season 1 DVD sets of shows and never get anything out. Look what happen with Growing Pains,Warner released season 1 and has no plans on releasing anymore seasons due to poor sales. And look at The Diffrent Strokes DVD set as of now it looks like season 1 and 2 is all we got of that show on DVD. If a show comes out on DVD I want the whole series not just season 1. Yeah I probably will pick this up next time I'm in Wal*Mart or Target just to show my sopport,but hope this is not the only thing we get?

Buy it and makes sure others buy it and then we will get a season 3. This is a seasons 1 AND 2 set!

I was surprised to see the commercial too. Yeah it is better than nothing. I am glad that I don't have to e-mail ION anymore about putting this show back on. They deleted so many scenes anyway and the commercials in the middle of a sentence was annoying but I was glad to have it on tv. God Bless DVD's :D

is this set confirmed to have the full uncut episodes and not the syndicated versions? are there any changes at all like music etc?

I'm glad to hear that the episodes are uncut. I was a little worried that some of the episodes might be edited. It seems like every TV DVD I've bought lately has had some edited episodes on it. I even checked for reviews of Seasons 1 & 2 to see if it was going to be cut or not, but I couldn't find any. I guess I worried for nothing cause WB has always been good about releasing their shows without any edits or cuts at least as far as I know. Now I can finally throw away the episodes from seasons 1 & 2 that I taped off N@N back in 2003. :lol:

I checked amazon.com a little while ago and Seasons 1 & 2 is #37 on the amazon sales rank for movies and tv shows so that's pretty good. :cool:

I'm watching the set right now. I love it!! Bring on Season 3!!!

I wish my library carried a copy of the Perfect Strangers first and second season DVD set. I Loved this show when it originally aired. I never missed it on Friday nights. I also remember watching the reruns that ABC aired weekday mornings during the summer of 1990 and that WGN aired starting that fall (it was on right after Charles In Charge). This was hands down the best show produced by Thomas Miller and by far the best show that aired as part of TGIF. I'd buy the DVD set, but I'm watching my money right now. The show also had a catchy theme song. Especially the extended version that ABC didn't often use.

I never missed PS as a kid. I loved watching it along with the rest of TGIF, in the living room with my folks and siblings, eating pizza. Those were the days!!

Heads up for those who foolishy haven't purchased this yet! It's only $12.99 on Amazon right now....that is a STEAL for 2 seasons of this great show!
