^I thought it was funny as well... especially how they superimposed Mary J's image on the the cast picture.

I don't agree with Mary that Tootie was the only identifiable one. I agree that people who see themselves in Blair are few and far between, but I think Jo and Natalie are everygirls that a lot of girls and women (hell, even take gender out of the equation, a lot of guys can see themselves in them also) can see themselves in.

I haven't seen the clip yet, and it's not showing on my end. I agree with Mary on Tootie. There wasn't much representation for little black girls to look up to and Tootie was pretty much one of the first ones. And Mary J had self-esteem problems so seeing a cute little black girl who isn't a negative racial stereotype on tv helped validate her.

What did she say about Jo though? I would think she would relate to Jo because she's a Tomboy from a rough neighborhood just like she was. They are both from the Bronx and they both had absentee fathers....Heck her and Jo would probably be the best of friends.

I just seen the clip and i laughed out loud when she said, "We can't relate to Blair and them". But fareal though Jo was a hood chick, Mary is a hood chick, i can see both of them kickin it.
