Robbie Williams' relationship with American actress Ayda Field is on the rocks, it has been claimed.

The 'She's the One' singer and the TV star - who have been dating for 10 months - have been driven apart after she insisted on staying in Los Angeles while he is keen to move.

A source told Britain's People newspaper: "When they started discussing the future it became clear they want different things.

"Robbie's life on tour or promoting his music can be hectic. He is feeling inspired but doesn't really want to record his next album in LA. Ayda is doing well and can't afford to be away from LA all the time."

Ayda is about to be launched to stardom as the lead character in TV sitcom 'Back to You', while Robbie wants to start work on a new album and tour to rival former band mates Take That.

The 33-year-old is said to be devastated at the thought of ending his relationship with the 28-year-old actress and has piled on the pounds.

Insiders reveal he has fallen head-over-heels for Ayda and has even introduced her to Take That singers Gary Barlow and Mark Owen, as well as his family.

The source revealed: "Ayda stimulated Robbie mentally and physically.

"He was smitten. And because she has a career Robbie felt secure that she wasn't with him for his fame and money.

"She's bright and sexy and made him laugh. It will be a shame if they can't work things out. But things are looking very rocky."

Lead character, my foot. You're right Felix. :) The writer of this article needs to get a clue, lol. It's too bad when conflicting schedules drive people apart. It happens so much in show business. Unless one is willing to streamline or give up their career, they're at an impasse. I don't see a solution to their dilemma here. Long distance relationships are difficult and seldom survive.
