Just wanted to let everyone know (thanks to the same lurker who provided me with the David Hurley articles) that Maurice Rosenblum has passed away this week. Here's the obit:

Thats sad he and his wife both seemed like real nice people who were deeply affected by the disappearance of their son. I hope that at least finding his remains and knowing that he wasn't out there wandering around suffering from some type of amnesia or whatnot gave them some type of closure although I'm sure that they would've both loved to know what caused their son's death.
While I don't agree with them booting Michael out because of his drug problems, it was obvious that they both loved their son and suffered greatly during the time he was missing and I hope Maurice is now at peace.

While I don't agree with them booting Michael out because of his drug problems,
yeah, I think that's another case of the parents making a decision without having any idea of what their son's fate would be, ala Gordon Page.

My condolences to his family. Many parents of missing children on UM work tirelessly to find them, but Mr. Rosenblum kind of stuck out for me. This was one of the first UM cases I remember. I'd like to think that he has been reunited with his son.

I first saw this case when I was 9 or 10 years old (it was one of the earlier airings on NBC). This is a sad case. Baldwin, PA is roughly 75 minutes from my house so I'm pretty familiar with the area.
