I've only seen four of his movies, Annie Hall, Hannah And Her Sisters, Hollywood Ending and Match Point, but definately like his work, even if I do admit it is highly pretentious at times. Of those four, Annie Hall is definately the one I liked the best. I want to see more of his work but he has so many movies, anyone more schooled on his work to tell me what I should watch next? I definately prefer the 70's and 80's work to the more recent movies I saw.

Last night, we watched, Scoop, from 2006. with Scarlett Johansson and Hugh Jackman. Woody wrote, acted and directed in it. Good crime dramedy. One of my favorite movies is Hannah and Her Sisters. I saw that at the theater. 1972's Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex, But Were Afraid to Ask, was a fun movie. Insane, but fun.

Woody was with Diane Keaton for years, and had her in all his movies during their time as a couple, then he did the same thing with Mia Farrow.

A few years ago someone else posted a thread asking about Woody Allen movies, and I posted my reccomended movies.

The thread is here:

The best advice I can give you is to start at the beginning.

Take The Money And Run, Sleeper, Love And Death are hysterical.

Also...

Broadway Danny Rose is arguably one of his best.

Mia Farrow had the best role she ever played in a Woody Allen film.

Brilliant stuff.
