Actually, this season BB is airing Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There are no Thursday shows this season. Wednesdays will be eviction night.

The Watcher: No strike might mean less 'Big Brother'
The weirdest season of a weird show could be cut short to make way for May sweeps fare.

The earliest and weirdest season of "Big Brother" might also turn out to be the shortest.

Season nine, which began this week, was hauled out of its usual summer slot to help fill out the strike-potholed wreck of CBS's winter schedule.

Now that the strike is settled, the three-nights-a-week "Big Brother" might be done in less than two months, clearing the May sweeps calendar for CBS's scripted heavyweights.

How would that work? It's all down to the "twist." The subtitle for this season is "'Til Death Do Us Part"; the 16 Houseguests will be paired up for sleeping arrangements, competitions – and eliminations.

That means it would only take six elimination rounds and a final vote to take care of the entire season.

Of course, if "Big Brother" does well in the ratings, the pairs could be broken up and the season could be extended. CBS isn't tipping its hand yet.

The network said this week that it would have new episodes of many shows ready to go by early April, but none would require "Big Brother" to vacate the schedule.

Just expect the unexpected.

I am not too crazy about this Big Brother--just a bunch of young white people. Going up against American Idol I dont think BB9 will do very well. I have enjoyed all the other seasons so i hope there will be more--in the Summertime!!!!

I know it just started, but so far I am not into this season at all. I do not enjoy the overall concept, or any of the houseguests so far. I mean, I know Jen and Ryan are a couple, but did they really need to have sex in the house after only being there a week? Not to mention Natalie (who I find to be highly unattractive) and Matt doing oral. These people are disgusting.

Ok, well tonight's episode was definitely better. Though, they didn't show everything that I thought they would. I semi-liked Jen before, but now I pretty much think she's a total bitch. Allison is a complete crackpot, but she's hilarious. Her thing with Sheila was a riot.

Not that it would help that much, but I think it would even be better off on Friday's. It's funny...the houseguests were talking that this season is probably bringing in the highest ratings out of all the BB's. Try the lowest.

Ugh, I hate the couples twist. I find myself liking one person but hating the other. I wish they'd break them up and play as individuals. It's for that reason that I can't totally get into this season like previous ones.

There's a fine line between entertainment and pure annoyance, but that line has been crossed. I just watched a fight between Allison and Sheila, and it was the first time I got a headache from watching BB. All the screaming at each other has gotten to be too much.

Yeah, I remember last season during one of the Dick/Jen fights BB had reassured her if something happened they would be out immediately. I guess Allison being in the DR already getting treatement slowed them down, but not really sure. Still looks really bad to have such a delay.

I'm not getting into Big Brother this time around. I actually stopped watching it because I am too busy to watch it this time of year even without most of my regular shows on. When I was watching it I just didn't think anyone was very likeable. During this season and season 8 there has been too much pointless arguements.

Is anyone watching? Unfortunately, I'm still watching this train wreck of a season. This is the first season that I have NO ONE to root for. Even though this cast is horrible, I am still semi-enjoying the episodes. I'm looking forward to seeing which house guest will return. As long as it isn't Alex or Jen, I'll be fine with it.

Has anyone noticed that Natalie has a rather disturbing "Stepford Wife" cast to her eyes. She seemed pretty obsessed with Matt, even though they'd just met and seemed completely oblivious to the fact that he'd toss her under the bus if it meant staying in the game longer.

Ouch. Sheila's a skank, but Natalie isn't? lol. Not sure how that one works out. I'm also not sure why there's any hatred towards Sharon, because she hasn't really done anything...I don't see any possible way of how Natalie could win. She's most likely leaving this week, and if not she does not have enough votes with the jury. I still say one of the boys (more likely) or Sharon will take the game.

Yea, I pretty much agree with what you say. I think Natalie was too nice with these people. Niceness does not work in this game. Being nice will get you booted out the door. She should never have given up that HOH to Sheila, and she should not have let those two boys question her like that, especially in front of Sheila and Sharon. She should have told em to f off and say- I'm playing this game the same as you and will do what's best for me. Who's side are YOU on, Baller??? Obviously those boys are in with Sheila and were just playing Natalie. Those people ALL play both sides, it all comes down to who you are true to. Yes, we all have our opinions. I just think it's funny that you think Sheila is the skank, yet you think so highly of Nat...someone who thought she found her soul mate within hours of meeting him, and giving him oral sex mostly without knowing anything about him. I did mention that everyone's done something...I just said that she hasn't done anything to make her more disgusting than anyone else, meaning that they have all done stuff, but I wouldn't say she's been more vindictive than anyone else has in the game.
