Lifetime Renews 'The Division'

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Lifetime has picked up its top-rated original series "The Division" for a second season. The weekly series, produced by Viacom, will premiere its second season in January 2002.

"Division" stars Bonnie Bedelia, Nancy McKeon ("The Facts of Life") and Lisa Vidal ("Third Watch") in a story about the professional and private lives of female police officers in a San Francisco police department.

"This series has been an enormous success for Lifetime, quickly becoming the top-rated original drama on basic cable and a favorite among our viewers," says Dawn Tarnofsky-Ostroff, the cable network's executive vice president of entertainment.

The series is created and executive produced by Joy LeVine ("Lois and Clark" ).

Months ago someone reported the DIVISION had been picked up for a second season, and now we have solid proof. Only thing is I know many of us were hoping season 2 would start sometime this year...not next! I wonder if July15 is the season finale, or if there will be a few more season one episodes along the way. I guess we have now have something to really look forward to in the new year...!
Just wish we were getting season 2 sooner!

THIS STINKS, CAUSE NOW WE HAVE TO WAIT 5 MONTHS FOR SEASON 2, DAMN, I DON'T THINK I CAN WAIT.......

ANOTHER THING: they have weird working times, cause this show started for us, in january, and its almost july and they r finished, so apparantly they do film these shows way in advance...hmmmmm, i think they need to not have 5 months off.....

Afraid to sa this, but I think July 29 episode (entitled Don't Ask) is the finale (season)

Thank gawd they didn't cancel it! I would die without TD. The episode schedule is really weird. Are you sure the season finale is July 29th? The episode "Intervention" is the season finale.
