last night I was sleepless and plus my classes are early in the morning anyways, so I pulled an all-nighter, plus... after seeing Norbit, I needed to reculture myself with some classics, so I watched a Woody Allen two-fer on Encore (Annie Hall and Hannah And Her Sisters) and then turned to this on HBO Signature to clean the stench that movie left off.

I had never seen the movie before but heard about it. While I don't know if the movie truly succeeded as a horror like it was meant to be, I loved every second of it. Bette Davis presented herself like an over-the-top drag queen and she totally stole the movie. Joan Crawford (who I will admit that I have my opinions about her from "Mommie Dearest") was good too, but the movie was just pure campy fun from the first reel until the end with Bette dancing with ice cream in her hands on the beach.

Anyone else like this movie? I definately plan to get the DVD, I can tell it's got rewatchability.

I LOVE Baby Jane. I haven't seen it in a while, so I should probably watch it soon. I know Bette was bitter for years over not winning the Oscar for this role, because she would have been the first actress to win 3 Oscars.

I love this movie, it scared me when I was a preteen.
