Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia's latest movie role has helped make him a better person and a better boyfriend - because it taught him not to take life and loved ones for granted.
The actor plays a twisted forensics expert in thriller "Pathology" and researched the part by studying real dead bodies. And the time he spent in a Los Angeles morgue, working with a coroner, has made Ventimiglia realize just how precious life is.
He explains, "I watched 19 autopsies and saw a few hundred dead bodies. To see a shell that used to have a life in it just changes your perspective on things. Having the opportunity to have a conversation, shake someone's hand, hug your family or kiss a girl, it's so much more important now."
Ventimiglia is dating his "Heroes" co-star Hayden Panettiere.
