Hey, all,
What are your favorite episodes from each of the Season 1 discs?
Disc 1 -- #1. Change to #8. Jessica
Disc 2 -- #9. Don’t Quote Me to #16. Bugging the Governor
Disc 3 -- #17. Kraus Affair to #24. Marcy’s Vacation
***
Here’re mine (the serious and the hilarious)
Disc One
#5 Conflict of Interest – I liked the serious focus, with the Governor having to make a difficult choice between his office and his family. Also liked that the writers didn’t take the easy way out with a deus ex machina ending; Gene had to make do with flowers to Katie.
#8. Jessica – I know it shouldn’t, but every time they all flop onto the couch with the dead body, I just crack up laughing!
***
Disc Two
#9. Don’t Quote Me.
A lot of trouble unintentionally caused by a little girl, though I feel sorry that she had to listen to the other kids slag off her dad (following their parents’ example).
#16. Bugging the Governor
Little chairs, little bathroom, and a short performance for the mike!
***
Disc Three
#20. Old Man Gatling
I don’t care how much they sugared the end, and how well Gene came out of his childhood, but his father… nope, still don’t like him. But one can’t choose families.
#22. Takin’ It to the Streets
A cute adventure outside the Mansion with the Governor in disguise (as it were).
***
BTW, did anyone note the box has an incorrect summary for #23 The Army Needs You? “Benson comes under suspicion by the Governor’s staff and the Feds when Army records claim that Benson Dubois died in the Korean War."
For me, that sounds more like “Take My Life, Please” when the President comes for a visit and staff gets checked by security. Hmm, just noticed one of my episode guides has this as 105, another as 107 -- which is it?
