I still have hopes for this movie.

I am not a Trekkie in the least, but why not do a DS9 or Voyager movie, or another TNG movie, instead of a lame remake of the original with younger, more attractive cast members (you know they brought Quinto in to make Spock "sexy")

Because I don't think they would be a hit, the last Trek film did so so at the box office. Abrams is trying to relaunch the franchise. Quinto does resemble Nimoy, it's all about youth these days.

but that sucks for the real fans of Trek. I believe DS9 and Voyager ended with the fans sure that there'd be movies in the future.

I'm sick of remakes. The DS9/Voyager casts are still alive and healthy, do that instead of what will probably be a ****ty remake anyways. Hairspray is the only remake in the past few years I've liked, but that was a rare exception, everything else has been by-the-numbers garbage.
