Is it just me or can you see a decline in the writing of "DW" even before Delta Burke and Jean Smart left? It was (too me) apparent by the middle of the fifth season that "DW" was loosing steam.

I wonder if CBS themselves knew that the jig was up so to speak (due to all of the backstage (https://www.datalounge.com/thread/17865979) production problems (https://www.datalounge.com/thread/13700980)) and moved it to Friday nights (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friday_night_death_slot#CBS) in its last year to deliberately justify canceling it?
