Anyone noticed the White Van that's behind the White Car in the Opening credits? What's confusing is it looks like the Van is about to go to other side of the road but that would mean that it would run into traffic coming in the opposite direction. So what exactly was this White Van about to do? Ride next to the First Car Featured in the beginning Opening Credits? And that road was too narrow for two cars to ride side by side so I'm CONFUSED-lol
Anyone else noticed this???

Yeah right in the beginning you see a WHITE VAN looking it's about to ride side by side with the first white car we see as soon as the opening credits start

Yeah, I know what you mean. I forgot to check it out last night. I know, it does seem to want to change over to the other lane. I may pop in my DVD of the show and check it out later since Alice doesn't air on Fridays.

But what was strange was the Van couldn't change lanes because the cars in the other lane was going in the opposite direction-lol

Well, he wanted to pass the slow moving station wagon. People do that all the time. At least I have seen it done. I haven't seen the opening scene yet, but I want to look at the painted lines on the road. If there are dashes, passing a slow moving vehicle is allowable. If it is two lines with NO DASHES, then it is against the law to pass another vehicle.

The first 3 seasons, the line was solid for the station wagon, but I can't tell if the van is behind it. I'm not sure if that part was before or after the 4th season part. The video was also lower quality, and when the semi roars by going the opposite direction, it looked like the cameraman could barely keep the camera straight. The 4th season (and on), when the van is passing, the stripe is broken, so the van can legally pass, but it looks like he was in a hurry, as he starts passing while the last car is going by him! I wonder if perhaps they weren't driving very fast to get a decent shot, and some impatient people were behind them. Incidently, if you ever see the original movie, they use the same footage, except in the movie the footage starts with the van already passing the wagon (where it cuts off on the 4th season beginning)
