View Full Version : Songs you like from artists you don't
Dean Winchester 01-14-2008, 11:43 PM I was just listening to Creep by Radiohead. While I think they are one of the most overrated pretentious bands of the past 15 years, I admit to loving that song (and wishing they had stayed in that vein).
What are other songs you love by artists you don't care for?
catlover79 01-15-2008, 02:21 AM I've always liked Crazy by Britney Spears, even though I've never been able to stand her.

honestly, if you were so turned off from that Super Bowl performance, did you happen to watch either of her HBO concerts from 98 or 02? I think the "Would You Mind" performance on the All For You tour where she picks up a random male from the audience, straps him into a bed and simulates sex with him, was more offensive, sexual and shocking than a random two second boob flash.
MonarC 01-15-2008, 06:28 PM

I remember my mom was still alive when the concert aired, and she saw it and I remember her saying "I can't believe I ever thought Madonna was a slut, Janet's much worse"

Best comment ever!
I've never cared for Sheryl Crow, but I like some of her songs. I'm not sure why, but it was just instant hate from the start.
88survivor 01-17-2008, 12:26 AM I seen better, Janet. Madge would never ever dream doing something like that in her concerts at all. Madge is at least a smart business woman...Janet still has a lot to learn, I am afraid. That's like a prostitute learning how to f**k for the first time. I guess sex sells in this day and age, unfortunately.

I agree. I saw Queen in 1978. Very majestic, and they rocked. "Crazy Little Thing" was a step down for them, and they were never really able to re-build their momentum in the '80's.
Oh yeah--"Radio Ga Ga" was another Ultra-Lame-Fest for them. ohno:

Queen is one of my favorite bands, but that Radio Ga Ga song has to be one of the worst songs ever recorded.

And yet, Stefanie Germanotta renamed herself after this song! ;)
Queen was a still a hitmaking band in the U.K. in the 1980s but Americans seemed to to lose interest in them overnight at the beginning of the decade after "Another One Bites the Dust" hit number one.
