Their's a lot of blame to go around. All the penalties, Crayton dropping key passes, our defense giving up a TD with under a minute before halftime. The Cowboys just looked very unprepared that second half. They used 2 of their timeouts for stupid reasons. Romo is going to get the bulk of the criticism though because he is the qb. If he wants to be like Aikman and Staulbach then he has to win playoff games.

What I didn't like about it was not that he vacationed with her. He is entitled to do what he wants in his offtime. But the fact is he has to know that anything he does is going to be plastered all over TV. That's all I heard all week. Last year it was the slippery ball and this offseason it will be Jessica. That's all that will be remembered until next season begins.

Yeah, do whatever in your offtime, but not the week before playoffs...:faint: That is like a boxer going out and partying and having fun with women before the big fight. You lose focus. 2 years ago nobody even knew who Tony Romo was. He really came out of nowhere. I can understand him liking to enjoy himself...that's one of the things I like about him but he has to face some reality. The rest of the world is cruel and he's going to get the bulk of the blame whether he deserves it of not. Hey our fans forced Dandy Don into retirement, forced Landry to replace White as qb after losing 3 straight NFC Championship games, they booed Aikman during his last year and Emmitt when he came back playing for the Cardinals. Our fans are very tough on their players.

Ugh, I remember that booing of Aikman. That tore my heart. :( But like you said, Romo was an unknown and then BOOM, he was on a lot of people's lips and having his picture slapped on television and magazines. He may not have played any different whether he went to Mexico or not, but because he did, that will be the talk and that is what people will remember. Had he kept his butt home and focused and lost the game anyways, at least there wouldn't be a lot of blame going his way.

What was Romo supposed to do to relax, lock himself in his room, lol? He went away for a few days. It's Mexico, not Hawaii. He's going to be focused on Jessica whether he's in Mexico or on the moon. Tom Brady goes away with his supermodel girlfriend, all the time. Mostly all of them do. They get away to relax.

Witten explains Romo's vacation (http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/32723)

Cowboys tight end Jason Witten was well aware that everyone knew where he spent the weekend. And as "the other guy" in pictures spread across the Internet featuring quarterback Tony Romo and actress/singer Jessica Simpson, Witten didn't feel compelled to defend himself in the face of the hysteria. He and Romo, close friends and roommates on road trips, went to Mexico to get away for a couple of days. "Just in general, all of us were all able to get away and just enjoy that break," he said. "Really, you have to do that, get away from the circus here and worrying about tickets and all that's going on with the playoffs. And then, come back ready and refreshed."
