Singer/actress Vanessa Williams has few regrets about past romances and career choices - because every hurdle has brought her great joy.

The twice-divorced Ugly Betty star, 44, refuses to look at her two failed marriages, her choice to pass on Halle Berry's Oscar-winning role in Monster's Ball and the naked photos that cost her her 1984 Miss America crown negatively.

She tells More magazine, "I'm just thankful that I survived and got to this point. You look back and go, `Well, if I hadn't done that, then I wouldn't have gotten that. If I hadn't met him, then I wouldn't have these kids.'

"It's looking at the quilt of your life and seeing how it's all put together."

And Williams insists she'll always stay friends with exes Rick Fox and Ramon Hervey because they gave her four beautiful kids.

She adds, "My ex-husbands are part of my life. We talk and email every day. I think it's hard to have children and stop loving a person. I (still) consider them my husbands."

to be honest, I am surprised any journalist still thinks Vanessa should regret the Playboy pics from 1984. Since then she's had a successful music, film, stage and now television career. How many other Miss America's, disgraced or not, can say that?

not many that's what. i mean since that 'incident' vanessa has gone from strength to strength and at 44 and with a hit tv show in the bag, why would she have any regrets? clearly, she has done extremely well for herself and is a role model for kids everywhere, she definitely puts a lot of today's overexposed, wannabe young celebrities to shame

i totally forgot about those pictures... it hasn't been mentioned in forever. whatever it doesn't even matter she's moved on from it.
