What is your drink of choice?

I love beer. Although it has so much salt and calories it is my favorite. I love Corona and Bud Ice. My second would be mixed drinks like Margaritas and Strawberry daiquiris. What is your drink of choice?

Pina Coladas and Bailey's Irish Cream on the rocks (oooo the calories though)

Mixed drink of choice - Southern Comfort and Coke (or Crown Royal & Coke)

Bacardi also put out an amazing strawberry cooler smoothie thing that went down like soda pop!

Not big on beer or scotch, bourbons, etc..

Another drink i've been sampling lately is a Black Velvet which is Guinness mixed with Cider.

A traditional Black Velvet is Guiness and Champagne, so the variation I have been drinking is also known as a "poor man's Black Velvet."

It's basically two drinks in one because the Guinness stays on top of the cider (giving the glass a cool two tone effect) but without fully blending together.

Mmmmm-mmm!

I love me a good wine cooler or a margarita on the rocks with lots of SALT!!!! Hey now...;) A shot of 1800 Tequila is a nice touch to a festive mood.

Maybe a Corona with salt and lemon. But rarely is beer my choice of drink. Usually if there is nothing else, I may.

We were drinking margaritas when this gentlemen sent over the barmaid and told us whatever we wanted, he would pay for it. Alrighty then. I have to agree... The little plastic thing they put in their cans REALLY help the flavor! YUM! I remember we had a discussion about that, because I shook my can at one point and was like "what the hell is in there?", and they had info about the plastic things on the side of the can.

Funny story about that... I'd had an early birthday dinner a few days before we got together (this was on the 12th of August), since everybody was going to be working on my b-day. We went to the uptown Drink location in Minneapolis, and had the dinner on their outdoors patio on the roof. I ordered a Guinness from the tap, and got it. But not even a minute after I'd gotten my Guinness, a ****ing bug landed in it AND died. Yeahhhh, that was great. So the server (a really good friend of my sister's) took away the cup and brought back a new cup for me... much better. :D

Hmm... Rock Bottom Brewery. Gotta have to check that out the next time I'm in Minneapolis. Sounds like my kinda place!

According to Wik:

The Black Velvet, also known as a "Velvet Hammer"[citation needed], is a beer cocktail made from stout beer (often Guinness) and white, sparkling wine, traditionally champagne.

The drink was first created by the bartender of the Brooks's Club of London in 1861, to mourn the passing of Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's Prince Consort [1]. It is supposed to symbolise the black or purple cloth armbands worn by mourners.

The Black Velvet was the favorite cocktail of the dapper Jazz Age New York City mayor Jimmy Walker.[citation needed]

Not sure if Tom is into jazz that much, but he' in good company.

I think there's also a Black Velvet rye (Canadian whiskey).
