Scoobiedoo30 01-12-2008, 02:29 PM I cant belive that it has been 4 year's since TV One started airing Good Times. Cactus Jack 01-12-2008, 04:18 PM Great rant, although Beverly Hillbillies rules,I agree Ireneparalegal 01-12-2008, 04:22 PM Why would we even try to figure out Tvland? This is the channel that is bringing us HIGH SCHOOL REUNION as an original programming of theirs when this damn show already aired on the WB (now the CW). This is no longer classic television. And when they do make classic tv show changes, they air the same show up to 4 times a day. Scoobiedoo30 01-12-2008, 04:25 PM this is an awsome Rant Mr. Television 01-12-2008, 04:38 PM I don't agree about the Beverly Hillbillies. I've enjoyed watching it before I go to bed. I haven't seen the show in a long time. I have all of TC on DVD anyway. TVFactFan 01-12-2008, 04:42 PM I don't agree about the Beverly Hillbillies. I've enjoyed watching it before I go to bed. I haven't seen the show in a long time. I have all of TC on DVD anyway. How did the BH end up in NYC?? TVFactFan 01-12-2008, 04:49 PM Why would we even try to figure out Tvland? And when they do make classic tv show changes, they air the same show up to 4 times a day. I always felt tv shows from a certain decade should be replaced with another show from that decade Andy Griffith replaced by Gomer Pyle All in the Family replaced by Maude Three's company replaced by Laverne and Shirley Sanford and Son replaced by Chico and the Man NOT Andy Griffith replaced by Family Ties All in the Family replaced by Designing Women Three's Company replaced by Beverly Hillbilies Sanford and Son replaced by Nigh Court LOL Mr. Television 01-12-2008, 05:00 PM How did the BH end up in NYC?? I haven't seen those episodes in a long time. They were from the last season. From what I remember Phil Silvers tried to sell the Clampets historical monuments in D.C. and NYC so the show went on location. It had JTS by then. Ireneparalegal 01-12-2008, 05:54 PM I always felt tv shows from a certain decade should be replaced with another show from that decade Andy Griffith replaced by Gomer Pyle All in the Family replaced by Maude Three's company replaced by Laverne and Shirley Sanford and Son replaced by Chico and the Man NOT Andy Griffith replaced by Family Ties All in the Family replaced by Designing Women Three's Company replaced by Beverly Hillbilies Sanford and Son replaced by Nigh Court LOL That is weird. As long as it is a classic tv show, what difference does it make? Eventually one time slot would be known as the "70's slot" and that isn't right. Andy Griffith can be replaced with All In The Family. Laverne & Shirley can replace anything that is currently on TVland that doesn't belong there. tanquant 01-12-2008, 07:50 PM I love this rant. As you know I also miss Three's Company at 1am. It was the perfect timeslot for night owls. I am not a fan of BH so the move really hurt my feelings. Good Times needs to leave TV One as well as TV Land. Blow the dust off the vault and let the light in for goodness sake. TVFactFan 01-12-2008, 07:55 PM I love this rant. As you know I also miss Three's Company at 1am. Blow the dust off the vault and let the light in for goodness sake. The Double air play of TC was always something I knew I could fall back on if one of the things happen below but now I have nothing 1. George Lopez eps I already seen at 1am 2. Fresh Prince Marathon at 1am 3. Home Improvement at 1am tanquant 01-12-2008, 08:21 PM I know exactly how you feel. Since you've starting bragging on George Lopez I've started watching the show. I like it it's pretty funny. TVFactFan 01-12-2008, 08:33 PM I know exactly how you feel. Since you've starting bragging on George Lopez I've started watching the show. I like it it's pretty funny. Don't forget about the all wee marathon of George Lopez starting next sunday night and what makes it extra special is I'm off next monday!!!!!!!!!! JulieSomoski 01-12-2008, 09:07 PM The Double air play of TC was always something I knew I could fall back on if one of the things happen below but now I have nothing 1. George Lopez eps I already seen at 1am 2. Fresh Prince Marathon at 1am 3. Home Improvement at 1am Yeah, I could always fall back on TC when there was nothing else to watch. But I'm not much of a BH fan, and it's really hard to watch a show in black and white at 1am, The Beverly Hillbillies is already airing way too much on the network, and it just launched, which is a huge problem. Pavan 01-12-2008, 09:19 PM Don't forget about the all wee marathon of George Lopez starting next sunday night and what makes it extra special is I'm off next monday!!!!!!!!!! All-week? It is just a Sunday night marathon featuring 14 episodes...with no repeats. But it will be hosted by George Lopez. tanquant 01-12-2008, 09:52 PM Don't forget about the all wee marathon of George Lopez starting next sunday night and what makes it extra special is I'm off next monday!!!!!!!!!! I will be watching it on Monday. I wish it was airing the weekend that Just Shoot Me will be taking over TV Land ( 1/26 I think i is). I won't have anything to watch. One day is enough but they have to use two:rolleyes: . TVFactFan 01-12-2008, 11:36 PM All-week? It is just a Sunday night marathon featuring 14 episodes...with no repeats. But it will be hosted by George Lopez. Why the HELLL, nevermind-lol GSU2004 01-13-2008, 04:10 AM Good rant. I am sick of seeing Good Times on both networks. The complete series is out on DVD. It seems like when one network completes their airing of it for the hour, the other network gets started. I would love to see a Parent Hood marathon, Hanging with Mr. Cooper marathon and Roc marathon for old times sake. TVFactFan 01-13-2008, 02:37 PM Good rant. I would love to see a Parent Hood marathon, Hanging with Mr. Cooper marathon and Roc marathon for old times sake. A roc or Parent Hood marathon would be great. It's funny how in order for TV one to have a reason to show another GT marathon is basing it around some character. Now it's a michael theme marathon which is ridiculous. Is there anyway to contact TV one??? JulieSomoski 01-13-2008, 02:50 PM A roc or Parent Hood marathon would be great. Is there anyway to contact TV one??? TV One is nothing but another joke of a network. They do air Good Times a lot, and in great slots too. Roc gets the early morning, afternoon, or latenight slots. Same goes for Parent'hood. I'd love to see a marathon of those shows, but it's highly unlikely. TVFactFan 01-13-2008, 03:02 PM TV One is nothing but another joke of a network. TVFactFan 01-13-2008, 03:11 PM Do they have a website? Yeah but it's no way to give viewer feedback-lol JulieSomoski 01-13-2008, 03:16 PM Yeah but it's no way to give viewer feedback-lol They probably didn't want to have to deal with all the complaints-LOL oz615 01-13-2008, 03:16 PM TV One is nothing but another joke of a network. TVFactFan 01-13-2008, 03:21 PM Funny that you mention that, because TV One is having a Parent 'Hood marathon, but i forgot what day it was show it though. Well That's something Different. I just don't know why Networks HOLD ON to shows for YEARS. Time really flies because Good Times is in it's 4th year on TV ONE. Damm, how long is the contract?-lol Pavan 01-13-2008, 05:43 PM As mentioned previously, the Parent'hood marathon is on Jan. 19: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/blog/labels/Parent'hood.html TV One has a lot of marathons besides Good Times. I've seen tons for Martin, Eve, All of Us, 227, and others. All their shows get marathons, even Good News is getting one today.
