View Full Version : Weekend Chat Janice 01-11-2008, 02:14 PM Happy Weekend Everybody! catlover79 01-11-2008, 02:21 PM Hi Janice & everyone. I'm planning on finishing my Christmas scrapbook that I started earlier in the week. I have to pick up some more stickers, as well as the photos I took in last night to have developed. I also have church tomorrow and have no set plans for Sunday except napping. Mikado 01-11-2008, 02:58 PM Christmas is over Cat , or is this a keepsake about the Xmas just past? ;) catlover79 01-11-2008, 03:08 PM Christmas is over Cat , or is this a keepsake about the Xmas just past? ;) Oh, this is just a scrapbook of this past Christmas - photos and such. :D TJL 01-11-2008, 05:14 PM Not much going on this weekend. I was going to go out tonight, but I banged up my right leg at work (thank God no one saw me do it: it wasn't my most graceful moment) so i have a nice bump on my shin. I will probaby stay home and rest it because tomorrow I have to go to NJ for my neice's 5th Birthday party in the afternoon. Can't believe she's 5. Time flies. So i will be with the folks until Sunday. I hope to get back early to catch the Giants game at the bar. AB 01-11-2008, 06:46 PM Nothing much, taking my son to get a haircut tommorrow, he want's highlights too, good grief! (lol!) PZelda 01-11-2008, 07:08 PM No idea... This is the first actual weekend I have off in a VERY long time. I plan on just being a lazy butt!! Which is just fine by me. :D coffield3 01-11-2008, 10:04 PM I'm going london sunday night to visit a friend. I'm pretty much chilling the rest of it! :D Have a fab weekend everyone! Brian Damage 01-11-2008, 10:33 PM I have no idea what plans I have for the weekend. lol I like it like that. *Happy Face* 01-11-2008, 10:55 PM Probably stay at home again. Haven't been doing much lately. Number 9 Dream 01-11-2008, 11:06 PM Hey all :D  My weekend is starting off pretty good...just got back from seeing "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at a theatre company a few towns away. It was a cool show--I really liked the music :) Now I'm just relaxing with a slice of pepperoni pizza and a Greek salad since I missed dinner earlier :) Tomorrow I'm just working 2:30-10, but I might get my hair cut in the morning. I really want a new look for school...and, no, my cute professor has nothing to do with this :snob: ;) Sunday will be cool....my friend invited me to go to a bridal expo with her. Apparently we get to try all these gourmet wedding dishes for only $5. I'm so there, lol. Afterwards, I'm heading back home for cake with my family since it'll be my Dad's birthday :) I hope everyone has a nice weekend! :happyface  OH Nuts! 01-11-2008, 11:25 PM It's been a rough week at work. A lot of R & R, DVDs & SO!!!!!! PlayOn 01-11-2008, 11:34 PM I have a few things going on tomorrow and Sunday. Tomorrow, we're helping my cousin move some stuff into her new house. And Sunday, I'm going back to TN (:() but before we leave I might go to church with one of my aunts and uncles. Then we'll go by the nursing home to see my grandpa. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Mr. Television 01-11-2008, 11:44 PM I have no idea what plans I have for the weekend. lol I like it like that. I think I might have something to watch around Sunday at 4. Nighthawk76 01-11-2008, 11:50 PM Tomorrow morning I am going to a book sale at our local library and during the evening the family is going out to dinner to celebrate my dad's 62nd birthday. Sunday morning I am going to church. I plan to spend the rest of the weekend just taking it easy after a very stressful week of work. Ireneparalegal 01-12-2008, 01:44 AM Hi Janice & everyone. I'm planning on finishing my Christmas scrapbook that I started earlier in the week. I have to pick up some more stickers, as well as the photos I took in last night to have developed. I also have church tomorrow and have no set plans for Sunday except napping. Oh man, you reminded me. I have to get started on my next scrapbook. I am so slow when it comes to scrapbooking. I have boxes filled with stickers and so forth, yet I need the impulse or the "get go" to just start. I can't be bothered, I need my space to do it. I have no plans this weekend. LuLu Rogers 01-12-2008, 01:46 AM I'm going to get my hair cut and my nose pierced tomorrow. ;) Other than that, I'll just be enjoying the fact that I don't have class again til Monday. :D Nighthawk76 01-12-2008, 01:50 AM I'm sorry you had another stressful week at work Mike. :( Happy birthday to your dad. Thanks, Jenny. :) My boss told us that the next two weeks will probably be the most stressful yet. It's okay though since I really like the job. Number 9 Dream 01-12-2008, 01:52 AM Oh my god, you're getting your nose pierced?! Cool! I've actually been considering getting my tongue done, so it's weird you mentioned that. Good luck with it and be sure to post pics! :) I'm going to get my hair cut and my nose pierced tomorrow. ;) Other than that, I'll just be enjoying the fact that I don't have class again til Monday. :D LuLu Rogers 01-12-2008, 01:53 AM Oh my god, you're getting your nose pierced?! Cool! I've actually been considering getting my tongue done, so it's weird you mentioned that. Good luck with it and be sure to post pics! :) Yeah, I've been wanting to do it for about 2 years now and I'm finally getting it done. My mom isn't happy about it, all the more reason to get it done! ;) Nighthawk76 01-12-2008, 01:56 AM Do you still have the flu? I hope you're feeling better. Thanks. :) I returned to work on Wednesday after calling in sick on Monday and Tuesday. However, I really didn't begin to feel better until last night. It was a very loooooong week. Number 9 Dream 01-12-2008, 01:59 AM LOL! You're old enough...I say do it and screw the consequences! :D I think a little diamond stud would be cute. My Mom actually wanted me to get my nose pierced  Yeah, I've been wanting to do it for about 2 years now and I'm finally getting it done. My Mom actually wanted me to get my nose pierced  Yeah, she said I can do what I want, but she doesn't like it. My dad just doesn't give a damn, lol. Yeah, I want a little diamond stud like this: http://www.pleasurable.com/assets/images/db_images/db_nostril3.jpg Number 9 Dream 01-12-2008, 02:05 AM Awesome...a stud like that would look nice. Simple, yet cute. I don't think too many people can pull off the hoops. Yeah, she said I can do what I want, but she doesn't like it. My dad just doesn't give a damn, lol. Yeah, I want a little diamond stud like this: http://www.pleasurable.com/assets/images/db_images/db_nostril3.jpg Nighthawk76 01-12-2008, 02:07 AM LOL! You're old enough...I say do it and screw the consequences! :D I think a little diamond stud would be cute. My Mom actually wanted me to get my nose pierced  Really? Actually, I shouldn't be too surprised. In junior high, high school (except for Freshman year) and my first year in college I had long hair and when I got it cut short in 1996 my mom wanted me to grow it back. Number 9 Dream 01-12-2008, 02:13 AM  I guess your Mom liked your long hair, huh? Yeah, my Mom has her belly button pierced (as well as two tattooes), so I can see why she encourages me to get something pierced  Really? Actually, I shouldn't be too surprised. My dad didn't though. However, when he would say it was too long I would take out my baby photo album and show him pictures of himself from the 70's when he had long hair and a beard. You have a pretty hip mom, Kristel. Number 9 Dream 01-12-2008, 02:24 AM Hahaha, yeah, it seems like Dads have problems with the long hair (like they think it's not manly or something). I think long hair suits some men and even makes them look better :) LOL, my Mom is pretty hip. She's a young Mom too (in her early 40's). She listens to modern music and everything....while I'm blasting Led Zeppelin and the Beatles in my VW Beetle, she's got 50 Cent on  Yeah, she liked it. My dad didn't though. However, when he would say it was too long I would take out my baby photo album and show him pictures of himself from the 70's when he had long hair and a beard. You have a pretty hip mom, Kristel. Nighthawk76 01-12-2008, 02:31 AM Hahaha, yeah, it seems like Dads have problems with the long hair (like they think it's not manly or something). She listens to modern music and everything....while I'm blasting Led Zeppelin and the Beatles in my VW Beetle, she's got 50 Cent on  I've been thinking of growing a goatee like my man Ben Sisko. Also, I hope it will make me look look my age since I have such a babyface and people think I'm much younger than I really am. Number 9 Dream 01-12-2008, 02:34 AM You do have a young face, but it doesn't look bad since you have a normal-sized frame. I, on the other hand, look 18 (and am 25) but have the height of a munchkin. Not cool :( I've been thinking of growing a goatee like my man Ben Sisko. Also, I hope it will make me look look my age since I have such a babyface and people think I'm much younger than I really am. Nighthawk76 01-12-2008, 02:37 AM You do have a young face, but it doesn't look bad since you have a normal-sized frame. I, on the other hand, look 18 (and am 25) but have the height of a munchkin. Not cool :( I've put on too much weight over the last year, so sadly, I no longer have a normal-sized frame. :( Nighthawk76 01-12-2008, 02:47 AM *campaigns for Mike to not grow a goatee* Who else is with me? *pulls out signs to start picketing. ;) Number 9 Dream 01-12-2008, 03:10 AM Aw, really? You looked fine to me! :) I've put on too much weight over the last year, so sadly, I no longer have a normal-sized frame. :( catlover79 01-12-2008, 03:13 AM Aw, really? You looked fine to me! :) He's way too hard on himself, Kristel. :( freshprinceofLA 01-12-2008, 04:20 AM After a stressful school week I'm happy as hell that its the weekend. Friday I hung out with some friends instead of going to a dance I was supposed to go to but eh I was just so tired and worn out school this week was so hard to get used to b/c it was our 1st week back from X-mas break. But the stress doesn't stop this weekend I got piles of homework to do. So besides all that I'll probably watch some movies I bought last week that I haven't watched, sleep, clean and watch playoff football. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND  coffield3 01-12-2008, 04:39 AM That sounds fabulous, may I go with you?;) This weekend; well, Friday night, I plan to hang out with friends, whom, I have not seen in a while; then Saturday, I want to check out a few bands:) Of course you can, your welcome any-time! :D PZelda 01-12-2008, 08:56 PM Haha, I've got oodles of piercings now - all in my ears. Both of my parents winced the first time they saw my inner conch piercing in my left ear. It looks like this (not my ear, BTW), it's a piercing that goes halfway up the ear and is pierced on the inside of the ear. http://tattoo.about.com/library/graphics/kmcear1.jpg I also started stretching my earlobes, so soon enough I'll be one of these people with holes in their earlobes. I have the itch for a new piercing, but I dunno what to get. I really don't want a facial piercing, nor do I have the tummy for a belly button piercing. I guess I'll just keep on getting more holes in my ears. Nighthawk76 01-14-2008, 12:18 AM I had a really nice and relaxing weekend which I really needed after a very stressful work week behind me and two probably even more stressful weeks ahead of me as we move closer to the start of the new semester on the 22nd. On Saturday I went to a booksale at our local library and bought eight books for a total of $2.50. I am really happy with that. Last night I watched two great FOL episodes on video ("Chain Letter" and "Let's Face The Music"). This morning I went to church and during the afternoon watched the cute 1999 romantic comedy The Other Sister starring Juliette Lewis, Diane Keaton. Tom Skerritt, Giovanni Ribisi and Poppy Montgomery. I also watched FOL and One Day At A Time on our local Chicago station, ME-TV. In between all of this, I did some reading, listened to a whole bunch of CDs and got some much needed sleep. :) *Happy Face* 01-14-2008, 11:59 PM Oh,I so hope I'm not related to you Number 9!!!,No offense,But your mom's description sounds so like one of my cousins!!!,Scary!!!! |
