Martha Raye's character I see a lot of in the mother on George Lopez. Although, Benny on George Lopez is based on a real person, George's mother in real life.

That was one of the worse singing I heard Linda Lavin did other than the Ramona from Arizona song she sung in the episode with Joel Grey.

Linda is at her best when singing show tunes.
