Apparently her killer apologized to the family during court proceedings even though it isn't going to get him leniency. The family is also requested that the killer not face the death penalty because of Gretchen's feelings on capital punishment.

Well, even though it was a terrible thing done, Tyrone's apology appeared to be genuine. He isnt going anywhere, he got what he deserved which was life in prison, he has no chance of ever being released, and Gretchen's family seems like class acts and they need to be commended for showing class, more people could take a page out of their book.

Thanks for the update. Let's hope they can get some type of closure and keep her memory alive. This segment always stuck with me. I hope that they find peace.
