I picked "Lovin You". When I hear it, it's like fingernails across the chalkboard.
Some of those songs I've never heard of and some of the titles had me laughing out loud. Plus there were several I actually like on the list. (lol!)

Gee, I never would've seen that coming.

My picks are Having My Baby, Feelings, Muskrat Love, MacArthur Park, I Write the Songs, and Torn Between Two Lovers (the last one wasn't on the list but it should be). Those are some of the worst songs ever recorded!! MY EARS!!

you probably have, it's one of the most overplayed, annoying songs of the past couple years, it was a #1 hit in 2006

while, I don't like You're Beautiful, I know of at least one James Blunt song that is even worse

this song is like someone committing suicide to record, what a whiny, depressing, overemotional song that even Meat Loaf would never be caught dead singing

"goodbye my lover, goodbye my friend, you have been the one......", I heard that song at a record store and the album version goes on a lot longer than the single version that I almost considered telling the guy to change the CD. James should cover "Seasons In The Sun" on an upcoming album, I'm sure he'd do the song justice

While youve compiled a very good list of songs so smelly that you could use a fish wrapped in a dead skunk just to clear the air a little, I have to dissagree on Wreck of the Edmund Fitzerald , THAT is a classic "Story" song, and its all true....Song about an American ship that sank in Canadian waters.

Nirvana's version of "Seasons In The Sun" wasn't that bad, it removed the 70's bubblegum of the song and strips the song to what it's supposed to be, a depressing song about a guy on his deathbed, not an upbeat chipper 70's bubblegum song

Ditto who ****in cares about a STUPID CAKE left in the rain, and who cares how long it took to bake, oh you cant take it? I feel SO SORRY for you/sarcasm, cant find that recipe? Look it up in the ****in coookbook or one of your drawers, cabinets, or your ass.

The man responsible for that atrocity was Jimmy Webb who in spite having penned possibly the dumbest lyrics ever actually wrote several great songs including Up, Up and Away, The Age of Aquarius, Galveston, Wichita Lineman, Try a Little Kindness, Southern Nights, By the Time I Get to Phoenix, Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head & the Frank Sinatra classic My Way.

My personal favorite is Highwayman which was originally recorded as a folk song but was covered in 1985 by the Highwaymen who were comprised of country legends Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash.
