being from the UK, i often hear and see characters mention this eaterie in US cartoons and sitcoms and i was wondering whether it exists, or its just something one made up. also has anyone been to chuck e cheese and if so, what is the food like? what type of food do they serve? thanks

Yeah, it really exists. They mostly serve Pizza there and there's games and other stuff geared towards kids, although they're not as popular as they once were. :lol:

You should do a search of the threads - there were some pretty funny ones about it. For some weird reason there was a lot of action at those places a few years back! :lol:

It is geared towards kids and has video games, etc. There's a Chuck E. Cheese not too far from me, and I drive past it every night on my way home from work. I went to many a birthday party there as a kid. :D

Man that place was so popular when I was a little kid. I had a few birthday parties there and all my little friends did as well. I use to love the "live" band they had with all the characters. We still see a lot of them and they're always packed.
Anyway, they have the typical pizza and cokes and it's packed with games that of course you need tokens to play and each game you play you win tickets... the more tickets you have the better the "prize" you can buy with them. There was also a huge indoor playground at the one we went to. That's how they did it back then atleast.

I took my son there a couple of times when he was little. And man, you can drop some serious bucks at that place with the price of their food and buying tokens for those games that the kids all want to play. If you ever go, take plenty of money. (lol!)

yeah it probably will be, especially as i love pizza :). i went to pizza hut twice and to be honest, the menu isn't all that great

Theres's one 40 minutes from me and I went last week for my cousins birthday. love their pizza, and i'm gonna go against some of you and say that I like pizza hut too!

I love Pizza Hut pan pizza, but, its like 30% more expensive than any of the other pizza places around here

I've had several parties at Chuck E. Cheese's growing up. When I was little it was called ShowBiz and the mascot was Billy Bob the bear instead of Chuck E. i was just there recently though...well about a year ago. my (younger) brother likes it and the food is good so i go sometimes to eat the pizza LOL
