I was watching the episode today (I think it's called Ricky and Fred Like TV or something like that) anyway, it's the one where they are really engrossed in the fights on TV and Lucy and Ethel almost get arrested for trying to make their own change from the cash register at the store when the clerk was also engrossed in the fights. Anyway...:lol: they decided to go on the roof and cut the electric wire that goes to the television. Lucy is in the kitchen and she pulls out a pair of scissors from the drawer...did you see the size of those scissors?? :eek: I always think those old fashioned all metal pointy scissors are a little creepy anyway (maybe I've seen too many horror movies) but these were like 10 inches long! I could barely focus on the rest of the episode because I was too creeped out by the big metal pointy scissors. I have no idea why I never noticed them before, but now I know I won't be able to see that episode again without being creeped out by the big scary scissors. :eek: :lol:

:lol: Yeah, I noticed those things! We have an old pair just like that but they stay in the garage... they weigh like 10lbs! I can't stand them either. They always makes me think of Edward Scissorhands :eek: gives me the heebie jeebies!

They made me think of those big things you prune bushes with...those scare me too :lol:

Maybe they were just bigger so they could be seen easily by the studio audience and then the home audience watching on those very small black and white sets. I would be more scared by the prospect of someone using scissors on those LIVE wires outside and risk electrocution.:lol:

This reminds me of that come back called "Ricky Scissor Hands" that never made it past production :(
