Jude The Obscure 06-07-2008, 05:54 PM I've watched parts of it and it is amazing how strikingly different this is from both The Family sketches and the followup "Mama's Family" spinoff. Carol really makes Eunice into a sympathethic three dimensional person in this and Ken Berry is very effective as Phillip. It placed in the Top 10 for that week's airings, and is what convinced Vicki to do "Mama" as a series, along with prodding from Carol and Harvey---hence, "Mama's Family" came along. You can also maybe buy it a "homemade" DVD copy at ioffer.com.
