My friends daughter really loves this movie and pretty much every time I go over there to visit the movie is playing on the TV. I think I have seen it about 7 times now lol. But anyway I have to say that it really is a great movie and I think it was casted perfectly I loved John Travolta in it and definitely Nikki Blonsky, those made are such a great pair. Is anyone else with me on this one? I wonder what we will see her in next. That was her first movie wasn't it?

Yes! I just watched it for the first time a week ago and loved it! All of them were great; John, Nikki, Elijah, Amanda and even Zac. Nikki will be in two movies called Queen Sized and Harold. I'm not sure about Harold but Queen Sized will be a Lifetime movie not in theaters.

I'm a huge Hairspray fan in general. The original movie, the Broadway show, and now this new movie. The one thing I have to disagree with though is John Travolta. Terrible choice for the role of Edna. Before I saw the Broadway show I thought he was great, but after seeing the show on Broadway I realize how terrible of choice John was. I love the rest of the cast though. It is a very good movie.

I havent seen the new one yet but I've seen the broadway production and the old version and love them both. My best friend has the new movie i might borrow it from her sometime
