I recently got season 1 & 2 of this show for a Christmas present. I'm a little confused about which is episode is the very first one. It has the episode about Emily's fear of flying listed as the very first episode that aired in 9/72 however the episode titled "P-I-L-O-T" is on the second disc and says it didn't air until 11/72 but it definitely seems like a pilot episode. Can anyone clear this up for me? Thanks.

P-I-L-O-T was the first episode filmed, but for some reason they pushed it back and aired several other episodes first.

By the time they aired the 9th episode, P-I-L-O-T, they also added a few things to it. Originally, Bill Daily was not in the pilot episode (the one they used to sell the show to the network). But he's in there now.
