Could someone please take a look at this that knows a lot about computers? I am at a friends house, trying to fix her computer. She's obviously got some kind of bad spyware/virus going on. When she boots up her computer, explorer.exe keeps shutting down. I ran spybot in safe mode, but it deleted all it could and it's still doing it. I need help! Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Well I can't say I know that much about computers but I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a problem with an add-on. I opened explorer without running any add-ons and it worked just fine that way, so I went through every add on one by one and found the one that was causing the problem and disabled it and that was that. Just thought I'd add that since you said you really needed help. Maybe it's something to check.

what do you mean by "add-on"?
